Re: Crest Hollow Country Club?

Crest Hollow is my front runner for venues. Since you booked it, you must have similiar taste with me.

What other venues were you considering???

I'm thinking Huntington Townhouse.

I don't know anything about Huntington Townhouse. We also looked at North Ritz, Russo's on the bay & Woodbury Country Club. Crest Hollow was our favorite & we went back & looked at it twicw before we booked.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club?

I just want to say that although I gave the crest hollow the rating that I did. My day really was amazing and it's such a beautiful place. My sister was married there 3 years ago, and that was the first place I thought of when we got engaged. I didn't even want to look at venues in NJ where DH and I live.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club?

This process is so extremely stressful!!!

No venue seems to be perfect. =(

I'm going to have 100-150 guests.
Want to be married outdoors.
Want an upscale nice reception.

I'm considering Manhattan as well so up to $250 per head..

Ladies, have any suggestions?

Chatau Le Mer seems to get good reviews on her & I think they have outdoor ceremonies.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club?

How about the North Ritz Club?

a friend of mine got married there (in an outside ceremony) and raved about how awesome it was. It’s a beautiful place.

Another suggestion is Lands End. WOW! I LOVE that place!!

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club?

i went to a wedding there recently and i would not reccommend the place.

however, I dont want to go into details at the risk of offending/stressing out those who are having a wedding there soon.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club?

i've been to 2 weddings there too, one was a Sunday afternoon (with an outdoor ceremony) and the 2nd one was a Saturday evening (with a much smaller number of guests). The first experience was great, but the 2nd one was mediocre and disappointing...

Look at Sans Souci in Sea Cliff. It is an old mansion that overlooks Hempstead Harbor. I went to a wedding there last year - it is classy, one wedding at a time, the food is excellent and they do outdoor ceremonies. I am not sure what their maximum is, though, so 150 might be tight.

Our wedding was absolutely amazing! We had our ceremony and reception at Crest Hollow and I cannot say enough great things about them.
