There is so much talk about our year approaching....well ladies, this is our last year as SINGLE women! So, I have a question...

of course we all love our fh's. of course we love to be with them and WANT to spend the better part of the next 70 years (hey, I have high aspirations! LOL) with them BUT......

what is the one (or more ) thing you will miss about being single. And I don't mean so much dating, but just being what you will miss about being 'on your own'?

I have to be honest, I do not miss a thing about single life. I am definitely a 'relationship' person and I am so glad that I found my FH....

for me, it has to be living alone. fh and I see each other pretty much every day, BUT there are some days when he goes off and does his thing, and I can just go home and be alone. Watch food tv, eat pizza, and worry about NO ONE but myself. It's very selfish I know (but once and I while I don't think there is anything wrong with that) and I know I will miss it terribly, though most likely not until the initial 'newlywed' bliss is over.

I'm similiar to jess... I love FH..but I got so used to living in my own space...even though he is here most of the time, I like the fact that I can just veg out..like i am now and not have to be around anyone...is that terrible???I know we will be fine...I think i will just miss my own time....

I miss all of the alone time that I used to have - it's so hard to write and work out nearly as much as I used to now that Dan and I live together.


I was definitely not a relationship type person before so sometimes I miss going out with my girls till all hours and just dancing and having fun. We still try to get together, but it's harder now that we're all attached and some friends are having babies.

Using my money just for me - not for us, our bills, and for his daughters food and child support... Just for me - if I wanted to go shopping, I didn't have to worry about his cc bills, or his child support, or anything else - just me.

If I wanted to go out to eat, just worrying abut paying for food just for me...

and - I miss ballroom dancing... I spent all my time dancing when I was single!

But, he is wonderful and so are the girls... I guess everything has a price, huh?

I know I'll miss the alone time, but FI is good about giving me decent space when I need it.

It's the compromising that I still need to get used to!

My feelings are simple. I will miss being able to do things without comments. Mind you, I lived on my own for a long time before FH came around. If I want or need to pass gas, I'm gonna do it if he is here or not.

The only thing I can think of is that I'll never be in a new relationship again - you know in the beginning where you can't eat or sleep - wondring if he feels the same - the dates. Other than that, I don't hink I'll miss a thing. I love having a partner like Justin to share my life with.

for me
it would have to be living with my parents,SPENDING ALL MY MONEY which will not be mine anymore it will be ours lol.

i cant really say hanging out with my friends cause we still hang out with our friends and it was never a problem

I loved having my own space. I live with FH and definitely feel comfortable enough to lay on the couch with sweats on and no makeup, and just be a lazy bum all day. BUT, there are times that I want to do that and not talk to anyone at all, including him. Just ME TIME, you know?

Probably the money thing- my money has always been mine and I don't have to explain what I am doing with it.
I think he feels the same way because when I asked him if he wanted to get a joint bank account now, he said no because he didn't want me to know what he spent money on

me too - I was very much a solitary person - I liked to have time to listen to music, write, think, read. I spend so much time with FH sometimes I forget that I still need this time to myself.

I miss being able to watch whatever I want on tv...
No seriously...my alone time...there are times when I just need to be by myself with no cell phone in range and just chill out...since we don't live together right now I'm still able to do this...its going to be harder once we're married and living in a one bedroom apartment...I could always try the bathroom out if I was really desperate...

Just my alone time. Every once in a while I like being home alone and cleaning, reading, napping.....since we'll finally be living together soon, I won't get that as much. But, FH is good about giving me my 'space.'

I will NOT miss going out and being single. I have single friends who share their horror dating stories. I'm so happy to be in a relationship.

Plus, my FH's daughter notices my wandering eye - and points it out loudly...

not really being single but more like the things that go along with being single like

-livinig cheaply with roommates and spending all my money on myself

-not having a mortgage

-decorating my way with sparkly pillows and red satin duvet cover - now our house is a little less girly

-looking forward to getting engaged

however, for all those things i really love having a home with fh and i am so looking forward to being a wife.nothing compares to that!
