Are you taking your FH's last name?

I don't plan to change mine.

A few ppl say it's a hassle when you have kids. Like people will think he is your boyfriend, not husband.

Thoughts???

Re: Are you taking your FH's last name?

i've been waiting a long time to be a mrs!!! I definitely will be taking his last name (although mine is easier to pronounce & people often mess his name up)! I can't wait to be Mrs. XXXX

i happen to know a few woman who did not take their husbands name and when they had kids... it did get confusing. I know 2 woman who actually decided to take his name after it became a problem.

Just out of curiousity... why don't you want to take his name? Business reasons? Personal reasons?

Re: Are you taking your FH's last name?

I am changing it, because I want to have the same last name as my children.
I am going back and forth on the hyphenating thing. I don't know what to do.

Re: Are you taking your FH's last name?

I didn't. I'm an older bride, as well as an only child, so I wanted to keep my name out of respect for my family. Plus, we aren't having children, so that is not a concern.

Re: Are you taking your FH's last name?

Yes I'm changing it But we agreed that our first child will take my last name as a middle name, just so I feel like I gave my kids a little piece of my legacy. My dad has no boys so our last name won't be continuing
