How do you know a bride-to-be is a fake?

I am hearing about women kicked off for being a .... And, women wrongly being accused of being

How do you know? What are some of the signs? I am just curious - and fascinated why someone would come on here if they werent a bride - don't they have better things to do with their time???

i dont even bother with calling someone a . i'd rather give someone the benefit of the doubt and risk being wrong, rather than calling someone a fake and they end up being a real bride who's feelings i've just hurt.

and besides, its not our job to police these boards...that's ron and liz's job!

I don't ever call anyone a fake on here. I just choose not to respond to anyone who I think may be a fake. I've been wrong in the past but sometimes I just can't deal with the drama.

I will not be calling out anyone on the boards that I think is fake because something happened on another board and it turned out that she was real bride. I really felt so bad inside.

I don't even think of that till its pointed out to me. I think everyones telling the truth on here. and most people ARE telling the truth- its just sad that sometimes we have in certain posts.

I have actually gotten some FMs from people who feel the need to ask me why my date says 2012 or whatever.

I don't get it either, I mean, what's the point??? They just want to get married so they make up all sorts of fake plans?? It just seems REALLY weird.

Whats the big deal if your's says 2012?!?!? Everyone has different plans and or circumstances... People have long engagements ( mine was 2yrs and a couple months) and I love it- Planning when sooooo smooth but its not for everyone-

It's actually 2006... but I didn't put down the real date.
My reasoning : there was some crazy drama threads when I first joined so I felt uncomfortable posting my info.

Thats a valid question though. Doesn't mean there fake. I'm certainly NOT a liar or a fake and I wonder the same thing!!

I don't know who is fake and not and you won't know but if I feel that what I am reading could be fake I just ignore it and won't respond.

I Agree! I just look past it- too much stuff going on in my life to be worried if someone is fibbin when they are posting!

But why do others care what the date is?
There are lots of brides on here who don't post their real dates; there are definitely more who do, but why would someone feel the need to question it...
I just think it's kind of weird.

I dont know - maybe they are just curious. But if they are mean about it thats a different story

I always just figured the ones with the dates really far away either were having a long engagement or didn't have a date set yet. It's not a big deal.
