Valentina's in Brooklyn is great. If your dress is over a certain amount, you get a free headpiece, veil, slip and alternations.

I second Valentina's...that's where I've ordered my gown from and the BM's are getting their dresses from. If you go, ask for Daniella.....she's the sweetest!

Re: where should I look first
I did Kleinfelds because they have almost EVERYTHING there. I figured I could figure out what I wanted and then when I narrowed it down, go to a more local shop.

Lillette's is great & Renates in Lindenhurst was very nice also....they spent a lot of time with me & weren't high pressure at all.

I loved my experience at Kleinfeld's! Very classy place and the woman that helped me, Margaret, was very knowledgeable and sweet. You should definitely give them a try!

Re: where should I look first
The Bridal Garden in Bethpage was awesome because they are family owned and they have a good selection of reasonably priced gowns. Plus they were able to order my Maggie Sottero even though they dont carry it normally. They beat Lillette's price by $350 (and everyone else including gownfind.com)Good luck!

Kleinfeld all the way.
I worked with both Margaret and Audrey there. They were wonderful.
