Any ideas on how much it is to fly first class to Europe?

We want to upgrade our flight to Europe to first class since it's such a long haul. Any ideas on cost?

It depends on when you are going and what airline.

I flew Aer Lingus to Ireland and although I didn't get first class seats, I had a lot more foot space and body space than when I flew to Ireland on Continental.

Re: Any ideas on how much it is to fly first class to Europe?

I flew first class once (almost 10 years ago)to Ireland on Aer Lingus and there is a BIG difference. I didn't pay for the first class ticket, we got moved up b/c my friends father worked for them, and they had the seats 9. Id say check on line or call the company to see what the price diffence is. If you have never taken a trip that long before you might want to consider the upgrading. I have flown several times back and forth to Ireland so i was used to the long flight, but FH was dying it was his first time, and he was having trouble dealing with the lack of space.

Re: Any ideas on how much it is to fly first class to Europe?

I flew business class last year and it was $5000 for the ticket, which is about average. In the summer, coach to Europe is over $1000. Hope this helps!!

Re: Any ideas on how much it is to fly first class to Europe?

This is what we found out when we wanted to upgrade.

DH and I have tons of frequent fliers on Continental. We booked our economy fare tickets to London and back from Paris and intended on using our miles to upgrade. Continental not only wanted airmiles, but it was also $450 per person each way extra to book first class seats. STILL much cheaper than booking regular first class tickets. So we ended up flying coach to London and spent an extra $900 to fly home from Paris First Class.

ETS: Our round trip coach class tickets were under $400 pp So adding the extra $900 our tickets were $1700 total for the both of us. Not a bad deal in my mind.
