Any advice on a dj, hair and makeup and creative groom's cake?

Hi,

I'm new here :) I really need to book a dj for my wedding in oct. any suggestions for a low key professional company? Also, I need someone to do my hair and makeup AND I need a baker for my groom's cake (a police and/or firefighther theme). Any thoughts would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks!

Ok we are using BPNentertainment.com for DJ.. they are awesome and their only advertisement is with recomendation.

Makeup... Im using Jillian from gorgeous faces she is under the vender section on this website and she also has a hair person that works with her.

Please don' t think its is cheesy, but King Kullans make GREAT cakes and they do a beautiful job. Their price is really really affordable and have been nothing but wonderful for everytime I needed a cake. So I"m using them for both my wedding cake and my GM cake. Check them out. Oh and if your FH is into FF and PD you can get a really cool topper from Ebay. I've seen girls on here get some BEAUTIFUL stuff for a steal!

Not sure where you are located but Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst makes YUMMY cakes.

We're using a band, Niteflight & they are awesome!

I'm using Denise at Angel Eyes for make-up, she knows her stuff, doesn't have a minimum and isn't overly expensive.

718-696-7162 ive been to many partys that he has dj at not only does he do a great job with his music selection, he is a great MC...i recommend him highly..he has become our regular family dj.
It cost you nothing to call...

Unlimited Entertainment! I used them in feb. they were awesome. Eddie the owner was fantasitic, the guys he had with him for the pictures and everything else were complimented the whole night by my guests. Good luck .

we went to Denise Lee in Setauket for hair and makeup...they did an awesome job and we had such a fun morning there!
