what about this song for a first dance?

FH and i have some history...best friends for years prior to being off and on during college. We have been together very strong for the past 5 years..and i love the lyrics...but i wonder if the part...'They said, ’i bet they’ll never make it’' would be wierd...what do you think?

I love this song, I used it for the anniversary dance... I always thought of it more as a song for people who have been together a really long time though...

That's a beautiful song, it's perfect for a first dance. I know of another couple who think of it as 'their song' bc of the troubles they had in the beginning of their relationship.
