hey girls! i finalized the menu and linenes last night it was so much fun! we picked our linens i'm doing white with off white overlay! they are makeing me a small sugar free cake cause i'm a diabetic! they said they do my candy bar! and we have 7 stations at the cocktail hour! we went with the waffle dessert! I know i'm crazy but I was thinking of doing chair covers there chairs are soo ugley! lol the offered a discount since they need to update them! what do u think?
We're doing chair covers... but my wedding isn't until 04/10... I don't like their chairs either.

I know what u mean! lol when we walked in the room they had chair covers i think it changed the appearance. i think if i hadn't seen it would be ok lol but now that i saw it i want it

My chair covers are included, it was something I definitely wanted b/c those chairs were kind of out dated.
Ours were included too... but I asked and our BM put them on the contract with the ice sculpture and the mini-Viennese/cookie trays.

We were just there a couple of months ago and Frank told us they are getting ALL NEW CHAIRS!
Not sure what they are called, but they are vey popular...they have the gold post backs. Not sure when they are getting them in, but they are getting rid of those big brown chairs.

Quick question for DIY centerpiece brides:
I'm trying to get a floral quote for personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres) and rose petals to scatter on the tables. My CPs are candles, photo frames, and rose petals.
Will Fox Hollow set up the CPs including scattering the rose petals, or do I need to ask my florist to scatter them?
Also, who decorates the cake with the flowers? Fox Hollow or the florist? We're geting the cake that comes with our package, and the only decoration will be some flowers and a cake topper that I'm going to be getting this week.

they should be able to set up your centerpieces for you. Just make sure you get it in writing. George, my matre'd did an awesome job with mine!!!

those aren't the chairs they showed me in my room yesterday, they showed me ugley burgundy ones

The burgundy chairs in the Garden Terrace are kinda ugly. I got them to throw the chair covers in when I booked because i couldn't stand them, but loved the room. Then, there was a screw up with something else and I got them to throw the sashes in as compensation!!

The chairs in the pic don't look too bad. personally i think they go with the room decor and I would take them and spend money somewhere else. But I got the chair covers thrown in and Dave made it sound like the sash was included as well... i guess we'll have to see. If not, the covers were expensive and I too am not a fan of the burgandy red chairs I had seen. I guess an easy way to decide is asking yourself, "Do I remember the charis/covers at other weddings I've atteneded?" That's the question I ask for a lot of stuff and depending on how much I remember it, then i usually think it's important to focus a little attention or $ on. I only remember the chairs at 1 wedding I've been to out of the past 5 and that's b/c they were covered and the decor was well overboard.

Just to clarify...they didn't throw in the sashes initially....Only the COVERS! I had a BIG problem with something else that went on there and to compensate me, I basically forced them into including the sashes. They don't have sashes on site, but had to order from elsewhere. It is VERY DIFFICULT and they had to do SOMETHING wrong to throw these in. Just to clarify!

They gave me the direction cards when I picked out the menu
if you want them before that, just call and tell them, they willhave them at the front desk waiting for you!

ya I think a lot of halls are switching to the chairs I had. They use to have white iron chairs in the WGP- and thats what they had when I booked and they were just switching that room over to these. Chairs were actually very important to me when I was booking because I personally didn't want chair covers, so we had to choose a place that already had chairs I liked. LOL.

FYI -
I just called to find out if they were getting new chairs in the Garden Terrace room & I was told that they arent aware of that yet. I hope they do as well. They also said to call back to speak with David (my BM) to find out for sure. He is not in at today. I spoke with Susan.

FYI- It's not really possible to negotiate for something that you want after you've signed your contract. I ordered something from PWP and it came in WRONG! Rather than having them spend a lot of $$ to reorder it, I kept it and they compensated me by picking up the tab on my chair sashes through fox hollow.

Hey all! Quick question as the wedding is almost just two weeks away! We're working on the seating charts and the charts we got from the Fox Hollow have tables that say 'P' and 'F.' Does anyone know what they stand for?!
