Obviously we all know its not about the gifts .... but I'm shocked at how many of us seem to have guests who didn't give a gift or card or anything ... so I'm curious ...

At the time of the wedding we had 2 people (my bosses) not give anything but we finally got something from them both. They added to my christmas gifts.

Just 1. And I'm not really sure he counts. He gave us a check after the wedding because DH questioned him because we thought it was lost. He gave us the check but told us we can't cash it until he tells us to. It's been 3 months...

Planning and throwing a wedding is really quite a learning experience. Some of it is fantastic and some of it just suck$ old man balls.

Lucky for us all guests gave gifts. Even those who did not make it gave gifts. We were more surprised with some guests who gave a substantial amount less than we gave them. These were weddings we attended either last year or two years ago. Oh well what are ya gonna do.

I realized I didn't answer my own question!

Only 2 couples didn't give us a gift ... both in the BP.

1 of them flew across the country to be there

The other also didn't give us an engagement gift at our e-party either ...

10 couples so 20 people. We only had about 125 guests at the wedding, so this was a pretty high percentage..

3 of those couples are my work bosses who said they would give their gift later on. (I hope they haven't forgotten! lol)

2 couples sent us gifts after the wedding (one couple sent us a $39 frame from the registry, the other sent us a $100 gift from the registry).

The other 5 couples - nada. No card, nothing.

Just my sibs, who I did not expect to get a gift from.

2 cousins, I guess they figured their mom would sign their name to her card but she didn't and she shouldn't, they are adults!

None.. Everyone came with an envelope!!!!

We only had one couple not give a gift and they are DH's godparents.

Only 2 didn't give but I knew about it and was fine with it because of financial difficulities. I just wanted them present it didnt matter.

same for us. although we understand, he has been short of $$ for a while... but it's been 2 1/2 months (yes, he promised us a gift. i'm not holding my breath. i can't wait till he gets married...)
