Where are some nice places to take pics in Western Nassau?

We have 2.5 hrs between church and reception time. Any suggestions will help

Pardon my ignorance, but what is considered 'Western' Nassau?
I also want to take some pics in between, although I don't have as much time, I will MAKE the time
Not sure if I can afford Westbury Gardens at this point.

what about Eisenhower Park? or the duck pond in Roslyn (drive by it everyday on the way to a client - it's gorgeous!!!)

I'm also looking for a place. But Clark Gardens says they are only open till 4:30! I'm going to call them & make sure that's true. My Church won't be over until after 5:00.

Hey Liz to ME western Nassau is anything before Merrick.

Where is the Duck Pond in Roslyn? Thats perfect because Im getting married at Stewart Manor.

Wacky - the duck pond is right down Roslyn Road on the right-hand side. It's beautiful!!!!!! Every once in a while on Friday night I'll see a wedding taking pics there.

Hey Liz I tried calling Clark Gardens, they werent open yet. I will try again today. I have directions, Im going htis week to check them out its right by my job and I didnt even know it. Yeah

Roslyn is always way to congested so Im skipping it.

The Planting Fields in Oyster Bay are beautiful-I'm not sure if it's close enough to SMCC for you.

Roslyn Duck Pond is a great place for pictures, too. The pond is on Main St. and (I think) Old Northern Blvd. in Roslyn.

Not sure of the name of that duck pond on Old Northern blvd in Roslyn but it is a beautiful park. If you are coming from Northern Blvd its on the left hand side about two or so mile up.

Founded in 1969, Clark Botanic Garden is a 12-acre living museum and educational facility. We are dedicated to understanding and appreciating the world's plant life through horticulture, education and research. Collections at the garden include native spring wildflowers, conifers, roses, perennials, daylilies, wetland plants, rock garden plants, herbs, butterfly plants, medicinal plants and over a dozen collections of particular plant families.

Monday through Sunday: 10 am to 4:30 pm
Last admittance to the garden is at 4 pm daily.

Shop closed until April for inventory but opened during the winter months during programs.

Admission:
A $2.00 voluntary contribution is requested.

We are located at 193 I.U. Willets Rd, Albertson, NY, adjacent to the Albertson Long Island Railroad Station. Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 36, and turn South onto Searingtown road.
