Here's my BM dresses.. a problem though!!!!

Okay so of my 2 future fsil's one totally HATES the dress and thought nothing to go home and tell FMIL this,, she is the only one with a problem.. what do I do? Everyone else LOVES it and so do I! She is starting to really **** me off and I dont want this to start a HUGE thing, although I feel that her telling her mother, when we got back after we were already at the place and she tried it on, where there was another BM with us, she waited until noone else was there, and it was cowardly. What do I do? Is It ME?????????

That dress happens to be very lovely. If everybody else likes the dress, then she will just have to go with the majority. Some people are so catty. If there are some girls who don't care either way, is it possible that everybody wears a different dress within the same line? I think ultimately, if nobody else is giving you a problem, then she wil just have to accept it

I think that is a beautiful dress! ( honestly) What color were you planning on?
No, It's not you!! Don't let your FSIL get to you, some people you just can't make happy, no matter what you do. Majority rules, and if everyone else likes it (especially you), she will have to be a good sport for a day and wear that great dress! It's not about her, she have to remember that.

What's to hate? I would tell her that this is the dress you love and the rest of the bridal party does too so therefore this is the one you are going with. End of story. If she makes an issue out of this I would tell her that if it is really a problem for her she can exclude herself from the bridal party and then she can wear whatever she wants. This is your day, what you want is what matters most! If she only told your FMIL her opinion but was not giving you a hard time about it, then I wouldn't even pay it any mind. She has the right to not like it and I guess it is to be expected that she would go home and tell her mom that. As long as she is not being unreasonable with you I would just let it go.

Its in lilac.. she is also mad that my FI didnt ask her boyfriend, and asked his sisters FI to be in our wedding, she is 20 and has a huge attitude problem, with not just me, everyone!

evenedan,, no she actually came right out in front of her mother and my other fsil and told me I HATE THAT DRESS, its ugly !!!!!!! I went home and cried to my FI .. he had a huge problem with it and told his mother this, because my FMIL just like laughed at it!! I was so HURT! my other FSIL i love and went off at the both of them!

I love that dress. Don't worry aobut her, if she wants to be in YOUR wedding then she has to wear what YOU want. If everyone else likes it then she will just have to wait to her own wedding to pick out a dress. Best of Luck

It is beautiful. It is YOUR wedding and don't let anyone try and change that. I was running into a simliar problem. Half of bm's refused to wear pink and the other half didn't care. Some wanted a very expensive bm dress but taking into consideration everything they would have to pay for, as well as myself. (we are paying for fsil's dress because fh's family does not come from money and we really want her to be a part of it.)

To make a long story short they are wearing a pink dress. I kind of made it known that they were under no obligation to be in our wedding and we would not be hurt or upset if anyone decided not to participate in the ceremony.

I'm having the same problem... every dress i show FSIL she doesn't like... well guess what, its not really up to you!! if the other two girls like it and FSIL looks good in it than thats what we're going with... im not putting her in an ugly dress (shes been picking these non so nice dresses out) just so she can be happy. I won't put her in somehting shes not comfortable in, but she hasn't even tried them on yet so she doesn't know.

So i say majority rules! Its one thing if she doesn't feel comfortable, but if she jsut doesn't like it, i say 'too bad!' Like daisybride says, when her wedding comes she can pick out the dresses. Its YOUR wedding!

such a beautiful dress !!! I have found that in planning a wedding there are sometimes when not everyone will be happy and YOU have to be happy. Go with the dress. It is stunning !!! By chance, do you know what the front of the dress looks like??

Bottom line....it's your wedding not hers! If she's not already married, she'll have her day and if she is married....then she should know better. Don't let her change your mind! YOu'll resent her the rest of your life.

That dress is beautiful! Tell her when she gets married, you'll wear the dress that she wants you to wear. In the meantime, you are the bride, you pick the gown!!!
