Re: Is asking for a flower sample 3 months in advance too early?
We are all crazy... it's called being a bride!I don't know if it's too early. I know that the rose I want is peak during September. My wedding is Oct next year. I probably wont see a sample next year until nearly the wedding date. I hope to shop around this year in September to see what's what.
The flowers are supposed to be fresh as can be, so maybe you can ask to see samples of what she's doing for other people?? Just a thought.

I don't think anything is crazy when we are spending so much money to make the day perfect They should understand that.

I am getting married in Sept of next year. My florist already made a sample. It was his idea. I thought it was early, but how are you supposed to book them until you see it?

I want to look this year at the flowers in season for september. I don't think 3 months is too early. You have your colors, dresses, etc all picked out, what difference does it make now, or closer to the craziness?

Not crazy at all. I am getting married this month and I saw a sample about 2 1/12 months ago.

I saw my sample last November and my wedding is this Sept. Why wait until the last minute in case you don't like it? If you do like it, then its one more thing that the florist doesn't have to do closer to the date.

Not crazy at all. I saw my flower sample 3 months before. One flower I wanted was not in season, so they substituted with a similar flower and color for the sample.
