What size pants do you wear - Mini Vent

I HATE when I go to buy pants/jeans/shorts and my size is like the 1st one sold out. It never fails unless you are a size 0 or 2 you have to jump as soon as new things come out to get what you want.

I was just wondering if most people were the same size or do the companies make the same quantity of all sizes.

I know that some brands vary but what size are you USUALLY.

I'm usually a 6, sometimes an 8. Never a 4. I was a 4 all through college and finally reconciled with the fact that I may never be a 4 again, and sold my Abercrombie jeans on Ebay. Sad, but now I have $50 for new Sevens in my own size.

ETA: I read the average American woman is a size 12. I have to buy short or petite pants, so that makes it more difficult.

I used to wear 0-2 before the pregnancy, now I wear a 4-6 but I totally get you. It's horrible.

After reading about all your skinny minnies, I'm embarrassed to dare post my size

Let's just say at the time of the wedding, I was wearing 'some' largely cut 6's , but comfortably in a size 8

Now, I can barely squeeze into my 10s

I do notice that 8 and 10s are HARDEST to find wherever I shop.. they must be the most popular sizes on average

JUST this weekend, I admited to myself that I needed to by the 12's and not the 10's.

I guess the grass is always greener... For the 0-2 sizes, they order like 3 of each and when they run out, that's it. At least the 6-10's are popular so even if they're out, chances are they'll be restocked. I have the hardest time finding pants in my size Same goes for shoes (I wear a size 5). Once that one pair they order is sold, I'm screwed

My favorite pair of jeans is the SAME EXACT PAIR that was my favorite in 8th grade!!!

Usually 8s or 10s, depending on the store. I HATE that I have to go up to a 14 dress to squeeze the girls in.

Well, most of the pants in my closet are a 4 or a 6. The 4s are dreams of long ago, a few of the 6s fit, and I finally gave in and bought a few 8s, which is what I should really be wearing these days.

Yeah, I have that problem too. For pants I'm an 8, sometimes a 10. But for dresses, a 10 is too big around the waist but won't zip up the back. It is totally frustrating.

I don't think I every wore a 6.

I am about a 14.
I do thikn you are right though, I usually see 2, 4, 14, & 16 ( If they carry it) It is hard to find the middle sizes ( I used to be a 10-12)

It all depends on the store. I am an 8 or 10 and for years was always an 8 at Ann Taylor. This season, everything I try on in an 8 is too small, pants and jackets. I also heard a woman complaining about the same thing in the dressing room. I am beginning to wonder if they changed their sizing.

Both new suits I bought in Ann Taylor are 10's and fit beautifullly. But my 8's from years past still fit great too.

Oh well, just a number, I guess.

What all of us need to do it go shopping in L.A.!!! That city is just filled with tiny skinny women, and in EVERY store I went to when shopping they had TONS of 6, 8, 10's and hardly NO 0, 2, 4's!! The other (skinny) girls at the store were complaining that there were nothing in their sizes, where I on the other hand was on a shopping spree because every store had a ton of my size!! It was the best. I was practically dancing around b.c in NY it's near impossible to find an 8!
