I wanted to get him a 'dress' wedding band that he had his eye on (we got fairly plain platinum ones) and give it to him at the ceremony so he would be married with both.

Does he have any hobbies? i.e.
Golf - you can get him a gift certificate or a tee time at a nice course - Bethpage Black, or some new golf clubs
Fishing - charter a fishing boat for a day
Sports - give him a nice outing to his favorite team. Buy some good seats, rent a limo, bring some tailgating food/drinks (I'm stealing this idea from a friend, but I thought it was a great idea!)

Was thinking something sports related -he can take his friends or something.. good idea w/ the limo this way they can drink and don't have to drive home
