To all the married ladies
Some of us are married a couple days and some are married a couple years.Answer honestly: Have you ever told your DH that you want a divorce while fighting or any other time??

Re: To all the married ladies
I am guilty of this. I never say 'I want a divorce', I say things like, you know where the door is, you don't HAVE TO stay, etc. I am a nasty person when I fight. Although I have to say, we rarely have an argument...

No .. and I dont want to offend anyone but those are words (even in the heat of an argument) that should not be said IMO.

I never said I wanted a divorce but after going back and forth arguing and coming to an impasse, I've said 'Well why don't we just get a divorce then???'But then, I'm a mean person when I fight. You wouldn't expect it but it's true.

Re: To all the married ladies
It's only been 2 weeks....But NO we have not said those words. Howver, we did discuss that before and those words will only come out unless we really want a 'divorce'. No matter how heated the fight gets that's a big NO NO for us.

I also reference my future spouse...Say things like, my next husband will bring out the garbage without being asked to...

Nope - never been said. When we do have a disagreement one of us will say 'You know a baby will make this all better right' - to laugh and lighten the mood. It was something we picked up from doing our counseling sessions with our pastor.

I do that, too. But so does DH. He always says I'm getting too old anyway and he's going to trade me in for an 18 y/o and then I
and say 'Yeah, because they're lining up outside, right?'

One of my friends was told by the Pastor during her pre-cana that whenever they argue, no matter what room of the house they are in, they need to strip down immediately, and stand across from one another and hold hands. HYSTERICAL!!!

Re: To all the married ladies
I almost did once, but I stopped myself because I knew I didn't mean it. This is actually a very strange/rare occurrence because I usually say things I don't mean.

This was said 1 time by DH and only once. After the fight we talked about things and agreed never to say that again.

It's been 16 days LOL so no, that hasn't come out of my mouth BUT i was really close this weekend to say something along those lines. Not the actual 'D' word, b/c I too feel that shouldnt be messed around with, but I was really close to saying something like 'well if you are going to be so effin cranky, why dont you just go take a time out and get out of my face for a bit'
but i was a big girl and kept that in lol

Re: To all the married ladies
No, never during the heat of the moment...Over Memorial Day Weekend, we got into a killer fight while we were shopping for camping stuff (argued over spending too much $ in target, having to go to a real supermarket because target didn't have all the food we needed, and having to find a freakin' liquor store because stupid NJ doesn't let you buy beer in a grocery store... all of this, while we were both STARVING)...
When we got to the campsite, his family asked what took us so long and what happened and I joked and said 'Well everyone, it's been fun... 8 months of marriage, and I think we're done for.' It was a joke and everyone knew that. We would never just throw the 'D' word out there, even if we were really fired up.

I used to do that a lot!! After 3 or 4 years of dating, I would use that as a reason for any and everything. I would say, why don't we break up?? maybe we should go our seperate ways, etc...

Re: To all the married ladies
I'll say stuff just when we're joking around though and so we he but nothing ever doing a fight, that would be BAD since we say a lot of hurtful things to each other when we fight...I'll say 'babe, can you get me a drink?', he'll say 'no I'm busy' (while he's on the computer looking at his fantasy sports) and I'll say 'fine, I want a divorce'. It's just a joke though since we once had a conversation about how people get divorces all the time now and over silly things sometimes.
I have used the 'my next husband' though and he always tells me if something happens to him I'm not allowed to get married again, no matter why we're not longer together
He just says 'I'm NEVER getting married again...' because he can't handle another wedding...
