I'm so excited about Disney. FH and I love it there and cant wait to go for our honeymoon, we both have our heart set on the Polynesian Resort but now from reading your posts, i'm so sad they dont have a king size bed.. what is that?? Now I dont know what to do... Has anyone stayed at the Polynesian recently?? Please let me know what you thought.. Thanks !! Oh and does anyone know about getting a video or something about booking your honeymoon? I thought I herd that somewhere but am unable to find out info about how to get one.. Thanks!!

Hi! You are getting married the day before my birthday. You get the Walt Disney World DVD and CD by going to disney online I believe.
I had to give them my name and address.
They sent me the vacation planing kit. It is very informative and helpful. Also fun to watch. I hope I helped you out.

Oh Disney HM ladies...I bought a great book at Barnes and Noble..called Disney for Couples...there is some stuff about honeymoons in there too! There is also the Unoffical Guide to Disney that also comes in a mini version so you don't have to lug that big book around on the trip!

I read about Disney's Beach Club Villas in the Disney World for Couples book, and I do feel so much better about my choice! Thank you! It lists our resort as exciting, relaxing and romantic! And, I've heard it's not AS geared towards children as other places. Our one bedroom villa has the whirlpool tub separate from the bathroom that opens onto the king sized bedroom! Sounds PERFECT!

Now... does anyone know how EARLY you can make reservations for dinners? (by the way... that book lists every restaurant in Disney and rates the level of romance and how good the food is!)

Yes they do need to make a smiley face with mousey ears. The answer to your question. I think you are able to make dinner reservations 6 months to a year it advance like cinderellas castle.
Don't make the reservation to late at night. You will more time to enjoy your dinner in the early evening. My friends who went on their honeymoon there told me that.

You did! Thank you! I'm so nervous about which restaurants I should pick to make my reservations, especially since I have to decide now! We're going to get there at about 8pm, so I was thinking of making late reservations at the Fultons Crab House for the first night. Someone also told me to go to the Christmas store that first night to order our personalized ornaments so that they're ready to bring home by the end of our honeymoon. So, what time should we make reservations for the remainder of our trip there, when we will be doing things throughout the day? And where in our itinerary should I make 'swimming with the dolphins' reservations? Should I group it with a non-theme park day? Or with Animal Kingdom or something? Thanks, ladies!

Thank you! I definitely want to swim with the dolphins IN Disney. Maybe I'll aim to do that at 11, so I can see what we're in the mood for the rest of the day. I don't want our honeymoon to be crazy rushing, so I want to leave room for some downtime. Thanks for all the advice!

In Disney to you actually get to swim with the dolphins or just be in the water with them. I think when I read the info on it it said not required you know how to swim so I'm under the impression it's different then what they have at sea world. If someone knows the answer let me know.

I stayed at the Beach Club a few years back (about 3). Fantastic and one of my favorites. I think it is an awesome choice for a honeymoon. IF you feel you are spending too much money, Port Orleans Riverside is a very romantic and affordable choice. But if you can afford to, go with the Beach Club. The jacuzzi WILL be used in that room

Three days before your trip, call the Beach Club hotel directly, tell them you are confirming your reservation and your requests. IF the Epcot view is very important to you, make that number one. Let them know it is a honeymoon and they will treat you like gold. Mention this to every person you encounter on your honeymoon. They will not guarantee the view because rooms are given out on a first-come first served basis at Disney (most hotels actually follow this rule). Getting to the hotel between 1pm and 3pm is great cause most have checked out by then. All the rooms have balconies or patios. OF course they have a hotel concierge who can help you with services, but not like room service or special floors.

allears.net is a great resource!! I'm on it all the time...we've been DVC members since '91 and I love to keep up with all the Disney news. It even tells you which rides/hotels/etc. are closed for refurbishment and stuff like that. I'm planning on going again this year in November for the food & wine festival! What a blast!!

My biggest advice to give to Disney Honeymooners is make reservations ASAP at any restaurants that you know you want to eat at....They have a dining plan now and the restaurants book up so quick!!!!! It was like pulling teeth for us to get reservations once we were there!!!!

I booked Dolphins in Depth AND the Polynesian luau last night! Those were just a couple of the things I was able to book now. I have to wait until May for the rest! I feel so much better knowing that we're booked for those, at least! AND, I got a discount for Dolphins in Depth since I paid with my Disney Visa Card! BONUS!

Yes, I am planning my next disney trip now. Has anyone used the dining plan? If so, what is you advice? I am deciding between the dining plan and eating offsite to save money.
