Right now I can not remember the names of the stores but I can give you the location.

There is a children's clothing store on 18th Avenue between 64th & 65th Street (next to the Citibank).

Another one is another children's store on 18th Avenue between 74th & 75th street (next to the gas station).

The third store is on 18th Avenue between 71st & 72nd Street (next to a hairstylist and a fish market).

OMG I LOVED those socks...I would wear them with everything...I loved wearing them with either my black or white mary janes...I even wore them with sneakers and shorts...I'm sure my mom still has them stored somewhere in the attic...

I'm pretty sure you could find them where they sell communion dresses or little girls easter dresses...anywhere in Brooklyn is a definate...

PS I also had the gold chain with the horn...that wasn't so bad because I could hide it underneath my uniform...what was bad was the nutella sandwiches...you have NO idea what kind of torture I would get whenever my mom would make them for us (my bro and sis got the same grief)...

I love it...FH gave me a HUGE jar of it in my stocking this year for x-mas...i eat it right out of the jar...I make my mother hide it on me bc I end up eating it all...yummm semolina bread and nutella...

lol...yours were not the only sandwiches to look odd...come to think of it...there were rare times that I ever had sandwiches on white bread...semolina was always the bread of choice...

Who am I kidding...mommy always made the best sandwiches...and who cared that no one wanted to change sandwiches with me at lunch time...
