its nice to know my teachers weren't the only ones getting 'Italian fruit cake' from their students

as embarrassing as it was...I give my parents credit for making the best of what the situation was...they were immigrants and to keep up with American trends when they barely knew how to speak the language...shows alot...Who are we kidding...christmas without boxes of pannettone on the dining room table isn't christmas...

casstanne (sp) anyone????

I am crying over here too!! My mom always makes me cut the d a m n chestnuts..those are a complete pain in the butt.. Every year I slice my finger..

Re: calling all ITALIAN GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! I just logged on and all this is hysterical!! I can totally relate to it all. I used to help Nonna with the fig tree, tomatoes, and string beans in the yard. We would have to wrap them in the winter and pray they will be okay. The yummy polenta and chestnuts!! Making the homemade pasta and spinach pie. This is all so great!!

We should totally start a thread!
