Why did my lunch sandwiches always look different than everyones elses??

Everyone had there sandwich on white bread,and here I am...semolina bread with soppresatta..mortadella..provolone and olive oil!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol...yours were not the only sandwiches to look odd...come to think of it...there were rare times that I ever had sandwiches on white bread...semolina was always the bread of choice...
Who am I kidding...mommy always made the best sandwiches...and who cared that no one wanted to change sandwiches with me at lunch time...

White bread??? What was white bread? It was semolina or italian sliced bread. I come from Bensonhurst and about 90% of the kids in my classes when I was going to school were Italian so we all had about the same sandwich all the time.

I HAVE 2 pairs of knee-high, cable knit look for when I wear boots. I got them from Tommy Hilfiger, so they may have them for kids.

ready for this,,,my father eats lemon ice with semolina bread!!!!!!!!! he tells me he used to eat it that way when he was a kid in SIICLY...I tell him,,I dont think they had italian ice when you were a little kid!!!!

not for nothing but all those odd comboniations of food thaste sooo good...lol I can't eat an apple without a piece of cheese with it...or every once in awhile a pice of chocolate bar with a piece of semolina bread...these were all treats for my parents wehn they were younger

Thumballina!! you have me dying at my desk right now!!!!! I am crying..thats how hard I am laughing!!!!!!

Panettone!!!! I got to tell you this,,,,during x-mas I took my father to Marshalls!!! he needed to get socks so instaed of going to the mall and waiting on lines we went there...WELL..little did I know,,Marshalls sells Panettone!!! My father couldnt believe it!! All of a sudden I hear,,ROOOSARIAAAA!!!! I run over and he is standing there with like every box of Panettone they have and tells me to go get a carriage!!!! HE swore they made a mistake on the price and wanted to get them and get out of Marshalls before they realized it!!

I was literally on the floor..because I could't stop laughing!!!

its nice to know my teachers weren't the only ones getting 'Italian fruit cake' from their students


as embarrassing as it was...I give my parents credit for making the best of what the situation was...they were immigrants and to keep up with American trends when they barely knew how to speak the language...shows alot...Who are we kidding...christmas without boxes of pannettone on the dining room table isn't christmas...
