Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

Nick has been so great. When I went I said to him that he has a big fan club on here. He said, well this isn't just a job to me, I truly enjoy what I do and I love this place.

Let us know the update on the GTG.

I'm going to the 'official' tasting w/ the folks on Thursday (4/7).

Speaking of which, what do you wear? My dad was asking if he should wear a sportsjacket or if khakis and a button down shirt was okay. Thanks.

I'm sure khakis and a buttown down are fine, some people were dressed up, some were in jeans... You will love it-- let us know how it goes!!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

Yeah, it doesn't really matter what you wear to the tasting. They'll let you book with them either way! Have fun and make sure you take home the leftovers. AND, tour the whole place with the folks. They let us roam after we ate and I brought my mom all around the place, showed her the bridal suite, the cocktail and reception rooms, etc. She loved it.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

I met with Nick today and told him how I learned of CLM, on here and everyone was raving about him. He said to tell you thank you and he really appreciates it and he loves his job. When I went for the food tasting I also met Monica, the bridal attendant? Nick said he would make sure shes there for my wedding. She was excellent.

I also wore jeans and a sweater for the food tasting. Some were really dressed up and some were really dressed down. People came in before and after us and I dont think anyone really noticed what everyone else was wearing, we were all too busy eating and drinking. The leftovers were amazing!

Nick called me and said he'd really like it if as many of us as possible could go and since there were quite a few who couldn't make it the 13th he gave me some new dates. I don't know if the 19th is definite, I haven't heard from him.. but again, there are quite a few who can't make it so he may push it to May. He REALLY wants as many of us as possible to go!

We are using Burtons for flowers, variety Music for our DJ, Twelfth Night for photography and Mittermax for video. I am just having my mom's regular hairdresser do my hair!
