Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Anyone know if there is a tasting Wed, March 16? We'll be in NY then (last time until JUly) and we both have never done the tasting...parents did.

We are taking some pictures at church, some at my parents house where we'll go to chill before the reception, some at Argyle Park and finally there! (we have a huge gap in between!)
We also plan on going to Argyle for pics...and maybe over the bridge to the beach if we have time.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
hey guys..Im kinda bummed out tonight!!!
I dont know what it is but Im totally second guessing all my choices so far. FH called CLM to ask about something today and he said he thinks someone else booked on the same day as us.. which is fine except when we booked we booked the upstairs room bc we thought we would have a small guest list and lately Ive been hopeing to get it over 150 so we could have the downstairs room and now we may not have the option. I love CLM but the downstairs room is just a ton nicer than the upstairs
I also have been looking at all these nice dresses people post and I think mine is just icky now. UGH.
Please tell me you all have days like this. I could cry!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Don't worry Jenn! I'm sure it's just nerves. I know the downstairs room is bigger and a bit nicer, but you actually get a better view of the water in the upstairs room since it's higher up and gives a wider view, IMHO. As for your dress, it's gorgeous. I saw it on CherylBooch at the WOTY. Don't worry, you've made some great choices.

Hey Jen,
Don't worry about things. I second guessed everything. The day before my wedding I went to try on my gown and pick it up and I hated it. I looked in the mirror and thought, 'This isn't the right dress for me and I'm going to look ridiculous. What was I thinking?' I dreaded putting it on all the next morning, but once I had my hiar and makeup done and I put it on and looked in the mirror, I felt like a princess.
And don't worry about CLM! Both rooms are great and have a great view. The food and service are amazing and your guests won't know what hit them!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
I'm sure everything will be fine Jenn!! Like everyone else has said, both rooms are beautiful (and I actually love the fireplace in the upstairs room) and you have nothing to worry about with CLM... Your dress is beautiful as well!!!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Yea and now that I really think about the whole water thing, it is true, you get a better veiw from the upstairs room bc nothing is blocking it.
