Camacho who did your e pics they are beautiful!!!

Thanks!!! Our photographer is The Velvet Studio. Bob will probably be there at the tasting (he was at ours) b/c he is a preferred vendor of CLM, so you can look through his work!

You're going to LOVE the food tasting!! That definitely sealed the deal for us, plus the fact that it's so beautiful there!

VELVET ROCKS!!!! some day Jess, I promise, hee hee.....

I'll buy you a scanner and ship it to you in VA!!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

You ladies are soo nice!!

I got the brochure from Velvet Studio in the CLM packet but have not checked them out yet.

Are they reasonable? $$$ wise

I can't wait for the food tasting!! What is typical to wear for these things? Cash, business cash?? I am driving there right after my plane lands in JFK, so I need to dress accordingly in the morning.

What do I expect in the food tasting? Lots of vendors? I am soo excited

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

Hey CLM girls,

For those that got married at CLM, do you place an earlier start time on the ceremony?

Does CLM allow you to do that? I wanted to put 11am instead of 11:30 am to make sure people show up on time.

Thanks ladies!

Ladies, I have to start calling hotels to block rooms for my OOT guests and for my wedding night for me and FH. Which hotel did you ladies go with? From my initial research, it looks like the closest hotels are the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge, Marriott Melville, Hilton in Huntington, and Best Western in Massapequa. Is there a hotel I'm missing? Any of these good or bad in your experience?

We used the Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview. I posted pix somewhere of their bridal suite- amazing! And all the rooms are newly redone too. They're a vendor on here

We aren't going to. People know to be there at the time it says on your invitation! Plus, we're getting to CLM about 1/2 hr before the ceremony, so I don't want everyone to be there while we're first arriving w/ our bridal party. I want to be in the bridal suite long before anyone arrives!

That makes sense. I think I'm just going to put 'starts promptly at 11:30am'. I spoke to Nick and he told me not to list 11am anyway because some people might show up at 10:30am. I'm just going to spread the word to family members about the start time and then speak to Nick and make sure they don't let stragglers in while I'm at least walking down the aisle.

Welcome! I wouldn't see why you would need to share your bridal suite. They don't do more than one wedding at a time; they stagger them by a few hours. Plus, there is a bridal suite downstairs and a separate one upstairs, so you would probably have the suite the whole day. Check with Nick to be sure, but I would think that is how they do it.

Yep, there was a wedding going on while ours was (but started an hour earlier), there are two bridal suites, you don't even realize there is another wedding going on!!!

FINALLY a thread dedicated to CLM brides I am so excited the place is fabolous and for the price you can't beat it. We recently booked like two weeks ago.

Lou told us that the all renovations would not be done until April 2005 so Kra5huburn please be aware of this for your Chapel I hope everything works out for you.

I went to the food tasting last week the food was delicious espically the Salmon and the Stuffed Shrimp I am a seafood lover and my Fiance isn't so he will have the Cheatu Briand.

I loved Chateau La Mer, but I was just there on Monday 12/12 and the chapel was STILL not done. But Lou was nice. I have a few concerns as well, but also heard that the food was amazing and the service was impecable.

No you cant. I tried
I didnt notice the vents
There are 2 bridal suites, one up one down so you shouldnt have to share at all.
