I want in too!
My colors are Warm Reds and Golds. I'm doing a Christmasy theme, but not too themish! I too am nervous about the snow.
My colors exactly too! Luckily I just got back from DeSeversky and they have decorated for XMas, all red and gold. Also they got new curtins, gold and red. I hit the jackpot!!!

I am doing a winter theme- all white flowers and candles on the table
white table clothes and chair covers
my girls are in black velvet tops with black satin skirts- with black magic roses
the cocktail hour room is dec for X-mas- but not the reception room!
and it's in 3 days!
OMG Beth!!!!! CONGRATS and best of luck to you. I can't believe your up!!! I love your bridesmaid dresses, so classy. I just read before how Jake proposed before your mom died, what a sweetie!

That sounds beautiful. I am most likely doing ivory and gold, with splashes of reds and greens. I may most likely end up with red BP dresses. I tend to like CPs with ivory flowers and green in them.
I just realized that I kinda repeated myself from an above post
At least it's good to know that I still feel the same way about my colors as I did before

Questions Girls...I feel like I'm behind on my planning. All I have done thus far is book the Hall, Church, and get the dress. I'm meeting with a florist on Saturday. What does everyone else have done so far?

Well...you're definetely ahead of me. All I have is my hall. I really have to start getting on the ball about all my vendors.

Definitely!I read the post today (I was on vacation the first full week of Dec this month) about the big snowstorms! I was thinking the same thing! I'm hoping next December will be unseasonably warm!!!
I'm planning on stocking up on Christmas supplies this year so I can get everything done by early November so I don't have to come back from my honeymoon worried about Christmas gifts or cards!

Re: December Brides Thread
I edited the original post to include the screennames and dates of all us December brides. I will keep my eyes open on the Official '06 Brides list and update when new December Brides are Added.I visited a friend last night who told me that after Christmas, if you go to stores in neighborhoods where Christmas might not be as widely celebrated you can find a lot of inventory left in the stores for great prices. She went to CVS in Great Neck last year and she found tons of stuff marked off. She had beautiful 6' red pillar candles at her house with a gold motif that she picked up for $1.99.

Re: December Brides Thread
I am getting married Dec 14, 2007. I already booked my florist because I am in love with Barbara from SIMPLE ELEGANCE in West Babylon. She makes the most beautiful christmas garland. Black magic roses, greenery, with ivory pearls strung throughout. So elegant and romantic. She puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Plus, they were on NEWS 12 last week as one of the best hidden secrets. Anyway, just thought I would share. I feel like 2007 is going to take forever to get here! But i cant wait!!! good luck dec brides

Re: December Brides Thread
oh just thought i would share other ideas too ...ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE is our favorite movie ... so were going to have our guests sign a framed IAWL poster of donna reed adn jimmy stewart and put it in our family room.
im also having the girls use muffs, and barbara from simple elegance is going to put a black magic rose in the middle of it.
oh and she also puts a rinestone in the middle of each rose to give it extra glimmer. so beautiful!

You aren't behind, you got the major and the hardest things done!!! You still have plenty of time to book your vendors.

Hey December Girls.....how's the planning?
Haven't done too much recently!
Church
Hall
Band
Photographer
Flowers
Precana
Dress
Shoes
BM dresses picked out (and pregnant BM had baby so we can order that in a couple of months)
MOB Dress
Started printing envelopes for STDs/Hotel info
I had everything except the last two done by the first week in December so I've been on sort of a 2 month hiatus! I've looked at a couple veils/headpieces but, I'm not sure yet what I want!!!
