Re: Greek Brides??
Congratulations Olgaki.I'm a MOB but have been following the Greek brides for some time bec. my daughter has such little time at work to do it.
Syhariteria and Kala Stefana. Also, congratulations on your graduation from NYU. That is a great accomplishment.
I'd love to hear more about your cousin's wedding, if you don't mind. She looked gorgeous and I absolutely love her gown and headpiece. Who was the designer? Where did she get them?
Where was her wedding and reception?
Where were her photos taken?
What did the BM's wear?
I hope you have more of her photos to share.
I just can't get enough of weddings.
Thanks,
Mary

Re: Greek Brides??
Hi and thank you!!!Her wedding was at Chateau Briand and St. Pauls.
Her dress was Mori Lee and it was gorgeous! She sparkled. Her headpiece and veil were from a store in Brooklyn.
They took pictures at Westbury gardens and the bridesmaid dresses were After Six. THey were ok but I would recommend NO TRAIN on the bridesmaid dresses. We had that and thank GOODNESS we bustled it.
When I get the scanner working again, I'll try and post more pictures

Re: Greek Brides??
I received this funny email and thought I would share......You know you are greek when:
Guests come over and your mom makes you clean out your closet.
Guests come over and you are not allowed to use the bathroom.
Guests come over and you know to stay away from the house and your crazy mother.
Your parents are mesmerized by the greek news and the latest soap opera hit 'Lampsi.'
Your mom still cooks & cleans for your single 'thirty to forty' year old brother.
Unless you are a doctor, lawyer or teacher, your parents have absolutely no clue what you do for a living. They just tell people you work in Manhattan.
It doesn't matter how old you are, your parents will still remind you when important greek holidays fall, when to go to church and when to fast.
Your parents look at you as if you have three heads when you announce it's time to live on your own...being that you are over thirty and still single. Your parents than fake being sick so you won't leave.
Your parents still have the thickest accents even though they have lived in America for over thirty years.
You must marry a greek person.
There are over thirty people in your house and it isn't a holiday.
People look at you strange because you hang out with all your cousins.
You have at least one Jimmy, Nick or George in your family.
People think its weird that your family and your in-laws celebrate holidays together.
You categorize friends as 'greek friends' vs. 'non-greek' friends.
When you hit 25, your mom starts telling you to lie about your age.
You recognize celebrities of greek heritage because of where they are from and not for their professional accomplishments. You also make sure you to tell everyone they are greek.
You voted for Michael Dukakis simply because he is greek.
