The koumbaro/a is also responsible for the stefana, lambades, and the tray that the stefana are going to be on during the ceremony.

they also are in charge of 'tipping the priest', baptising the first-born and I think something else but I can't remember.

My whole family is in greece now for my cousin's wedding....I couldn't go because of work.

Olga - I agree with whoever said to tell her to bring jewlery. If you're planning to give your koubaro/a something, then Greece has such nice stuff. My mom also brought me back some sterling silver picture frames from greece and eikones. Can't think of anything else!!

As for boubounieres - Eleni's does have nice stuff and she does very unique wrapping, but she is way overpriced. Noufaro also does very nice and modern wrapping and their prices are better.

Hi everyone! Olga, thanks for thinking of me. FH and I went out to the island on Monday and just got back a little while ago. It was soooo nice to get away from the craziness around here!

As for the rings (better late than never)... I was planning to wear the e-ring and the vera on the right, but I am not sure - I am always knocking my right hand into things and I don't want to lose the stone on my ring

Marcella, how are you holding up? You'll be sooo happy when you're done studying. The day after, you'll be in a fog and not know what to do with yourself.

Hey Debbie: I'm okay. Just getting really nervous. I'm so afraid that I did all this and I'm still not going to pass I'm really not feeling confident At this point, I just CAN'T wait for this to be over. I'm going to be the happiest person in the world on August 1st.
Can you believe I got an application for Jersey Core courses that you have to take w/in your first year of being admitted in NJ, already? The classes are in the fall, they begin in September. Why the hell would I pay for the course go all the way out there, w/o even knowing if I passed the NJ bar..What are they INSANE And after studying for the bar and NOT having anytime for myself, do they really think that I'm going to want to sit in class every Monday and Tuesday from 6:30-9:30 for 5 weeks I DON'T THINK SO!!!

Sorry Debbie, just had to vent. Can you tell I'm stressed
We have to get together for many many drinks when this is over

Marcela - believe me I know how frustrating it is seeing FH study - you may feel like you arent prepared but you really are. You spent so many hours in Barbri studying and on your own. Be optimistic and dont let anything put yoru spirits down. You are going to do great!


Angela - those look great! I love redenvelope - I ordered a wreath when my baby nephew/ godson (I am so excited about that!) was born and it was gorgeous. They really do have nice quality items.
