Re: How did you pick your wedding date?
Jan, Feb, March, April, October, November & December-too cold for me!I liked May, but there was too many graduations and communions.
Everyone gets married in June so i voted that out.
July & Aug is WAY too hot for me!
I picked the beginning of September. Still have that summer mood, but not the sticky humid weather. It's my parents anniversary the day after ours..my mom told me the second weekend in September is always beautiful weather wise. It sure was.

we were set on FALL FALL FALL....but when we fell in love with our hall, they were completely decked out for the Holidays, so I got sold on a December wedding....Dec. 1st that is !!!!
yup that definitely helped too! we booked our hall on Jan 16 - and we MADE SURE they were still decorated for christmas. . . I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way the lobby looks all decked out when you first walk in!!!
btw - i dont know why everyone says its too cold in january - my wedding day will be 60 degrees and quite comfortable. . . i mean, besides that few minutes of light snow what will fall just as we are taking some outside pictures. . . .

Re: How did you pick your wedding date?
Not sure..wanted a july wedding..always wanted a july wedding...plus my cousin is getting married and she wanted to get married in august...We wanted to get married before her because we got engaged before her. We really wanted the 4th of july but were voted against it...then we wanted 7-7-07 but it was way too expensive for the amount of people i'm inviting which is why we went 7-8-07...

Re: How did you pick your wedding date?
It was important to FH and I to get married in 2006 because it is 30 years for FH's parents and 35 for mine. Well, FH waited until November 2005 to pop the question and I wanted at least a year to plan. We originally wanted 11/11 but it wasn't available at our hall....but the 18th was so we booked it. We later realized that we first communicated (we met online) on the 18th of a month so I felt better about not getting our first choice. My parents also got married in November...so it just kind of made sense.

Re: How did you pick your wedding date?
I'm a teacher so July seemed like the best month since I would have off from work-- we could take a nice long honeymoon.... And I would still have July to be a housewife
and enjoy everyday with him before heading back to work!

Re: How did you pick your wedding date?
We elimated the summer month because of the heat and knew that we needed a month that would be cheaper b/c we were paying for most of our wedding. We picked ealry Jan b/c it was the least chance of snow and its usually not that cold yet.

Re: How did you pick your wedding date?
FH and I both work at a college, so any time classes are in session (Sept.-beginning of May) was out. June isn't good b/c it's my dad's busiest time at work. July is too effing hot. August is always busy for us at work, prepping for the new academic year. So that basically left two weeks at the end of May! My parents and FILs wanted us to get married on the 25th because they share that as their anniversary, but we wanted a day all our own. The 26th it is!Welcome New Vendors
