FH and I chose our date (9/14) because thats the day we started dating and got engaged... It only made sense to continue the 9/14 date.

I knew I wanted an October wedding. I kept saying Oct. 18, which was my Grandma's birthday. But, our RH was booked for that date, so we took the following Saturday...Oct. 25.

my anniversary is 01/16 but i would have had to wait until 2010 to get that date so i picked the closest saturday 01/12

We are getting married on our 5 yr anniversary.

No special reason. We knew we had to have a wedding during the off-peak season to save money so we chose February and 2/2/08 sounded cool and easy to remember lol

We both wanted cooler weather and I also like how certain places are decorated for the winter.

I originally was going to plan for the day my parents got married May 17th.....but the prices were much higher in May and we needed some more planning time and time to save $$$....so we pushed it to the fall.

FH works schedule doesn't allow us many free weeks so the beginning of March was really the only option.

Ours is on Memorial Day, FH is a Marine Corp vet (weird saying that makes him sound old) and lets face it, it was less $$ to have it that day

well we started thinking about what we wanted.
1. FH doesn't like the heat, so summer was out.
2. I don't like the cold, so winter times are out.
3. plus our birthdays are in the winter so we didn't want our b-days overlapping with wedding anniv.
4. that left us with fall and spring.
I REALLY wanted fall, but it's a busy time for me at work and for him.
5. So we chose spring. As we started looking we realized the price difference in a week. We had no idea. We thought we would get married in april, but after going to several places and getting major price cuts in march, we decided on march.

It was a Saturday in May ... not mother's day or Memorial day and FH like the sound of the date- 5/17/08 - lol

we love the summer and my summer camp at work will be over by then. And we decided not to do Laborday weekend.
Also since we picked our date we've realized how many of our relatives and friends have been married in August to a good sign!!!!!!!!!!

We both love the warm weather and since a friend of ours was married that weekend last year we wishfully hoped that the weather would be the same!

well we were thinking of having it the 2nd or 3rd week in aug because my FH is still a student so I went to leonards and asked what Saturdays are available and he said the only saturday left is 8/9/2008

i originally wanted the day we got engaged..but i would have to wait to 2010 (wasn't doing that) so i picked the time we got engaged...it was 8:15 pm

not sure if i answered this already - but...

we LOVE the winter & the cold....and we knew we could only afford a Sunday...so we picked one before a holiday...so anyone who came could stay late & not worry about it!
