I am in absolute shock! This is horrible. I am so sorry for the girl's family and I hope you son does not have any lasting scars from this. Please let all of us know if we can do anything!

Hi everyone. First let me just say that I thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart for your wishes and support. It's so nice to know that even strangers are willing to lift you up at a time like this. I think it's a blessing to have been able to chat with you all through this, while sharing a wonderful experience (our weddings), but even more so..can feel free to look for guidance as well through tragic moments such as this.

To update you all...my son is doing ok. He had to go to his summer program at school today (preparation for high school) and I went with him and informed them briefly of what occurred and they offered to have him speak with a guidance counselor. He agreed to it..which I am VERY happy for.

As for the family of the girl (Lyanne), well it turns out that she in fact did shoot herself. Her father was released yesterday, and he went over to the boy next doors house and ask the mother 'where are Andrew and Christian, I want to talk to them!!! I want to know what they were doing in my house, because my daughter killed herself and I want to know what was going on!!!'. The mother of the boy was so afraid. She rang my bell and decided to call the precint to inform them that he is now harrassing her. He didn't ring my bell..because he knows that my FH is a cop. I'm just shocked that he would even go there. I understand he is in pain..but the fact of the matter is yes they should not have gone...BUT he also should not have had a loaded gun that she had access too. It's no ones fault...and now he is looking to blame my son and his friend. Very sad.
