I hope your son isn't traumatized by any of this. He should definately seek counciling asap.

What time did this happen? I haven't seen any of this in the papers or news.....

Since the father is a correction officer they have their won Internal affairs dept. They don't have to give any info to NYPD yet on whether he did it or not. Regardless..he's going to face some type of charge because of the fact that she got hold of a gun..and a loaded one at that. My FH's brother works for the Bronx. D.A. office and as soon as he hears he is going to let us know. More than likely it won't be onthe news..and if it is...tomorrow or Wed.

I just want you to know how happy i am that your son is ok. I think he was so smart to stay put and not come out of that bathroom. My DH is a cop also and we strongly advocate AGAINST guns in the house. They are just too dangerous and you never know what can happen. Give your son some time to open up but let him know you are there. We are all here for you!!

I am so sorry , that is a horrible thing to happen and your son to witness...you need to get him help-even if he says he doesnt want to- he has to talk, as others have said it is a lot of stress for a teenager to handle.You are in my prayers!
