OMG!! I don't even know what to say. I'm so sorry to hear about this terrible story. I would recommend that you have your son talk to a therapist. He is probably experiencing so many emotions right now. I am a therapist and I have seen so many kids witness horrible things and it really does take an emotional/psychological toll on the kids. Good luck to you and your family. I'll keep you all in my prayers

I'm so sorry... what a horrible tragedy. You need to get your son to talk to someone --either you or a professional about this as soon as possible.

Something about the Father being so over-protective and the daughter being so upset that she would shoot herself leaves me uneasy. I just feel like something else has to be going on-- it reminds me of sexual abuse or something-- i don't know, I could just be going out on a limb here but something had to be VERY wrong for to shoot herself like that---

either way, I'm SO sorry, I hope you are able to help your son at this very confusing and difficult time

OMG, I am so sorry for yoour son and the family of the girl. He must be in shock. My prayers go out to you. One of my friends killed himself when I was about your sons age and it took me a long time to get over. I can't imagine the situation he is in though.

Please let your son know that nothing he could have done that could have prevented this. Committing suicide doesn't just happen because of one thing. It is a culmination of different things. I just hope your son knows it is not his fault in any way.
