LMAO!!! Oh man.....too funny. Hopefully, some day down the years......their day will come, whether its a wedding, or any function that requires an RSVP........you can be sure to answer w/........Noone will be around to feed the fish.

no, I have the best...

For the shower the excuse was that at the last minute she had a bad case of the runs, but wanted to meet up later on to give me my gift she bought at Tiffany's....well ***, I'm still waiting and the shower was in January. I even saw her a few weeks later and she never mentioned this famous 'gift'.

For the wedding...this one takes the cake. She actually responded yes, but I should have known better. She was a no show, and leaves a message on my cell phone that she got lost. With direction cards, phone # to Russo's in hand, she calls me...and hello, I'm like, getting married!!! She said that she felt that she was lost once she saw the signs for Riverhead...my wedding was in Queens!!!!!!!

can you say....dumb a**!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Still waiting for shower AND wedding gift...and waiting...and waiting....

10 years of friendship... bye bye.... but she hopes that in the future we can build a new friendship based on MUTUAL TRUST and UNDERSTANDING, and she hopes i understand that having friends and family at your wedding means nothing as long as you and your groom are together. i gave her the # for a good shrink!!!

For my shower, my BIL's fiance said she had to go to Europe to look for a wedding gown. Meanwhile my shower was planned way ahead of time and my DH SAW her the day before the shower when she was supposed to be in Paris. Can we say BUSTED!!!!

I have a friends mother that is like my own. I even call her mom!

Well my MOH lives in FL and the RSVP phone # was a FL number.

She freaked out saying how ridiculous it is to have a shower in NY and an RSVP # in FL. She was really upset she had to call there. She knows my family lives there, I don't know what the big deal was but,

The kicker......her SON lives in FL. What’s the problem lady? You call FL everyday?

I'm reading these, and I totally forgot that I have one. So this is what my mom's cousin said after my mom called to get an address from her:

She can't come because she works for Calvin Klein perfume (spritizing it in stores, she's not a CEO or anything) and she can't come to the wedding because it is Father's day weekend and that is the biggest day for sales. Here's what's wrong with this:

1. My wedding is the day before father's day. Don't people usually buy their gift a few days before?

2. It's FATHER's day! Isn't mother's day the biggest day for perfume sales? Don't you usually buy your fathers tools and stuff?

She can't get a day off of work over a year in advance? It's not like she works on commission or anything!!

I've got one that a LOT of people used for my wedding.

The Republican Convention. GOP was in town two days after the wedding.

Yep, that's right. Several people refused to go anywhere near New York (ummm, even though you can get to the Island without going through Manhattan) because 'Well with the convention it'll be crazy!'

It became a running joke that day.

I have gotten 2 with just their names and 0 people attending ...no explanation. I was sad because there was no little note saying 'congrats' or anything. Oh well

PS they are people that we know..not long lost relatives.

PEOPLE JUST HAVE NO ETIQUETTE!!!

fh's cousin whose daughter was supposed to be flowergirl (we had her dress made and everything) sent in his rsvp declining with no explanation, nothing.

when fh called them, they said the daughter couldn't fit into the dress we sent! hello, the girl is like 5 and it was big enough for me to get into! we made it big purposely so that it could be altered down!

hmmm, i had a lot of we'll be on vaca and tehy would tell me where and i had a sad one, my aunt couldn't come b/c they found out she had cancer :(
