at least they responded????
I have a fear of several people not responding at all.

Well........she was 5 days late....my response cards were due August 1--and sadly, this is a friend I've know for many, many years........but its OK.....just wish she could've used something a bit more beleivable since she knew the date for over a year now........

I'm sorry! Hope i didn't upset you, its such a crazy response!

'we are getting back from vacation the day before.'

so I must ask W T F does the day before my wedding have to do with the day of my wedding?

That being said, I sent out STD's and received a call from my 'friend' that said - I'm sorry, I just don't see myself going there without a date and sitting by myself - I just won't enjoy it, and it's a WASTE of money!

Honestly, I know this is the same real reason she is not coming, and that is fine. I'd honestly be so much more OK w/ her saying she didnt have anyone to bring than to say she has tennis lessons.

Besides, she lives in Brooklyn, Im getting married in WAding River, its a hike. And I wouldnt expect her to go there alone.....but it just cracks me up....not only are you so freakin late w/ your response.......but thats the excuse you write??? Its just so un-real

I've gone to plenty of weddings SOLO or bought a friend with me (female & male) - it's a poor excuse to not attend a wedding for a close friend!

I'm from Brooklyn - can I come? I'll be her replacement!

p.s. No one in Brooklyn has tennis lessons...

LOL--Trust me...I know.....thats why I know she is such full of s&&T. And, yes, you most definitley can come--

Oooh ooh me me... well this is a pre-invite 'will not attend response' from FH's Uncle in Florida... ready for this?????

'I go hunting that week'

ya know what's sad? I can relate to this response. My Dad would totally not go to a wedding during the two weeks a year he could possibly shoot bambi. Hunting is an addiction-they get ready for season all year round.

I could have wrote that.. my dad to

W T F is that all about.

I would write back that if she thinks so little of the friendship then maybe never would be a better time to reconnect.

Re: Let's name the best 'will not attend' response explanation...

I love people that responded no to the shower and the wedding with the same excuse. Its my bad once they said no to the shower I should have not invited them to the wedding but I figured you never know. Anyway at least they could hve thought of a different excuse or nothing at all

Ladies-

I was just wondering..are these actual notes that were on your response cards-or just the follow up excuse?

People need to get over themselves. I had a good friend that I've had 10+ years tell me she couldn't come to a wedding-related event, so we were changing the date around HER. When we finally found a date that she didn't have a good excuse for, she just went with ' I don't think that's going work out for me.' Ummmm. Ok. .... I wasn't really shocked, but it still hurt my feelings.

i got one..... 'Sorry, Eric ( her 18 yr old son) doesnt have a suit ( and she is too cheap to go and buy one) so we will not be able to make it!!!

Seriously?!?! Does Eric have to come... but then she'd have trouble getting a sitter (for her 18 year old son). What do they do if they have a funeral to go to?!?!

Edited for spelling.

Re: Let's name the best 'will not attend' response explanation...

I'll go over and kill the parot!!! They could of told me they had another wedding or something!!!!!!

A friend of family that we have know for 28 years, has a parot and 2 dogs! Its like when you go on vaca and you have to get a dog sitter, but a parot for 5 hours, c'mon...that's a bit much for me to handle!
