Just the thought that my FH took the time out to save his money , listen to my ideas, shop around means the world to me and everytime I look at my ring or rock as you say it reminds me of his promise.

Exactly. My fiance's job is anything but 'normal, stable, or full time' he's an entertainer. Some weeks he makes more than my dad, other weeks he makes almost nothing. The fact that he put thought into it, saved to get a ring he knew i would love, and went to sooo many places looking for something that 'yelled KERRI' (as he likes to say) means the world to me. He seriously picked out exactly the style I love. I didnt even KNOW i loved it till i got it... he didnt get me a solitaire b/c i'm not a plain kinda girl, but he didn't get anything too flashy b/c i've got a tiny frame and very tiny fingers. He knew i didnt want anything big i just wanted the promise that goes with it.
(Don't get me wrong, i wouldnt have turned down a differant ring if it was bigger or whatever) BUT since he did this all on his own, with no help from anyone including myself and his mother, there are some flaws in the ring that he's totally not aware of. and i don't care. we're all flawed, our flaws make us who we are. My mom's ring is HUGE but it also has a flaw but i still think it's one of the nicest rings i've ever seen b/c my daddy gave it to her lol.
My fiance has no clue that the color of the diamonds aren't the best, or that it even has an inclusion. he bought it at a jewlery store in the mall he figured they're all 'perfect' and he's right. it's perfect for me.

wow that was a ramble.... i just don't want anyone to think i said those things b/c i'm ashamed of my ring. b/c i'm not. i just don't want anyone putting it down b/c that makes me feel like they'd be putting my Fiance down.

I realized i never posted a pic of my ring, here it is i got it on valentines day 2007!

I picked it out, but FH surprised me with it, and he video taped it as well!

I have been there. I waited for the purchase of the house, choice btwn ring or bathroom #1, bathroom #1 done, choice btwn ring or bathroom #2, bathroom #2 done. Choice btwn kitchen or ring. I said the buck stops here, gimme RING damn it. Please? Some things are more important like having someplace to live. The other stuff can come later.

I don't think anyone here will put you (or your FH) down for posting your ring. We just like seeing everyone's rings because they are all so different!

I am sure your ring is beautiful. It is a symbol of your love for one another and that is enough for me. If it's not enough for someone tell them to 'stick it'!!

But I would love to see it!!
