SORRY i havent been on much latley and just saw this. My ring is a total of 5.7 Karats. I KNOW>>I KNOW i was totally not expecting it...FH is a bit of a show off! The center stone is 4.2 and the rest on side stones....

They are all so pretty. How many of you gave your FH some direction as to what you wanted? My directions were really simple....Don't get a ring that is below an F on the color scale, please please please don't get one that has under a VS-2 and defintely nothing under a Good for cut. I cherish quality so much in diamonds and am SO happy that he listened! Noone can ever hold anything against a perfect diamond, or perfect stones surrounding it either : )

i did not know a single thing about diamonds until i got mine - i have never noticed the quality of a diamond. . . i only appreciate style, i never look closely enough to notice quality.

as for the ring - i just told him i wanted a princess cut. . . he picked out the rest himself.

I just requested a princess cut with specs that were not below tiffany standards. I don't sneer at peoples rings but I have learned a lot in the process. I used to think that just size mattered but I have come to appreciate the quality of a diamond even more. I love to look at people's rings on the train at work everywhere. Again you ladies have some beautiful rings and some are so creative with their settings. Congratulations to all you beautiful women with beautiful rings and generous FH's.

I defintely do appreciate the quality of diamonds so much...I'm glad that FH and I were educated about them before he went to buy one. Who would've thought that a stone would be so complicated?

As for my last post, I have always admired everyone's ring...I was always awed by the fact that they met their special someone and would be getting married. I had a couple of younger friends get 'engaged' so they called it, and walked around with a 500.00 ring on claiming it was Tiffany....I don't know why people make such a big deal about this names...a name is just a name, right?
