Went to 2 weddings recently....Watermill and Majestic Gardens - personally I would go with Majestic Gardens. There is one wedding at a time and the grounds are beautiful. Giorgio's is also beautiful.

The food was good at both places, but the wedding at Majestic Gardens was amazing bc the couple got married outside which was GORGEOUS. One wedding at a time really is great. The Watermill is nice too, but I don't like that there are 2 other weddings going on, it reminds me of a wedding factory (IMO) I like the feeling of having the whole place to yourself. Like I said, this is JMO.

I see your point. Honestly, the 1 wedding at a time aspect is one of the reasons I LOVE Giorgio's. We'll see what I'm saying after I check out some more places tomorrow and Sunday! lol

Okay, thanks to you lovely ladies and a lot of phone work, I've narrowed down my list of possible reception sites to the follow:

Giorgio's
Beach Club Estate
Crest Hollow CC
West Sayville CC

I wanted to be the only bride so I did not check out any place that had more than one wedding at a time. (Watermill, Jericho Terrace, Crest Hollow CC). I checked out the following:

Giorgios - it was gorgeous. They wanted an 85 person guarantee for a THURSDAY night, 125 for Friday. Mr. Giorgio himself told me my guest list was my problem with trying to find a hall. Turned me off. Went to a showcase, food was ok.

Beach Club Estate- great price, fabulous menu, had no problem with low minimum. I personally didn't like the room for the reception. It was very pretty, just not my taste.

Skipped Milleridge b/c for my numbers the CH and reception are in the same room and I didn't want that. Skipped all that is Lessings Caterers.

Didn't go to Majestic Gardens b/c my mom & sister had been there when she was looking and they both said I wouldn't like it.

I've been to weddings at Crest Hollow and Jericho Terrace and both were great. Majestic Gardens is really nice but it is so far out in Suffolk and I'm from Queens. I've never been there but I heard that Giorgios is gorgeous but on the pricey side. Hope that helps.

At this point, ANYTHING is going to help me! I'm so stressed out by trying to find a place that I'm having dreams where my wedding has to be held in a landfill because I couldn't find a place!

Watermill, Jericho and Milleridge will all give good food and service. I haven't heard very good things about Crest Hollow but I liked what I saw. A few people have had trouble with them. I'm sure their food is good tho!

Crest Hollow has good food, I have to many events there, and the food has never been a issue.

Majestic has great food and beautiful grounds. I was in a wedding party there, and the Dridal Attendant was excellant.

Check out West Sayville CC. They are pretty reasonable, have a water view and the GM is really nice. We're pretty set on getting married on a Sunday for some reason so I guess some places are willing to compromise a bit more. Good luck!

I'm getting married at Jericho Terrace! I haven't had my wedding yet, but I went to a tasting, and it was so delicious!! I also ate there at a bridal show. The inside is beautiful with tons of photo opportunities. The outside grounds are very small, but there is one area that makes for a few nice pictures. I love the cocktail hour rooms. Very garden style.

the first place fh and i went to see was jericho terrace, then others. we decided on jericho terrace b/c the food is amazing, the dome room gorgeous, and cocktail hour is unbelievable...the amount of food offered is incredible...inside there is sooo many photo oppotunities, not just some cheesy 'studio' room like some other places i've seen..
