Re: My Reception Site Short List!! Opinions?
Beach Club Estate: Small and quaint...good food and great price. I didn't like the place b/c of the room size (our wedding was too big) They hold 125. I belive the price was about $65.00 for July.Crest Hollow CC: Great price $75.00...food descent. I went to a wedding there and there were wedding crashers from other weddings. You actually saw another wedding in your room. not too pleased. And leaving there took forever b/c of the other weddings.
Jericho Terrace: I have heard from other people, that the food isn;t too great, My friend went to a wedding there this past weekend..and wasn't too thirlled (in fact she got sick from it). I hear the price is descent.
Watermill: gorgeous! My friend was married there...nothing but great things!
Majestic Gardens: Extremely over-priced and the banquet manage was trying to look down my blouse. How anyone could feel comfortable there is beyond me?
Hope this is helpful! Reception hall shopping is very difficult!

I think Giorgio's is absolutely gorgeous (obviously - I'm booked there). I loved it the moment I stepped inside - basically I loved everything about it.
Some people had mentioned the West Sayville Country Club - I was just there looking to book my engagement party. It is a beautiful place and more importantly the staff is incredible. Steve is a pleasure to work with. I reccomend it for a smaller wedding![]()
Did they have a fire place in the reception room?
Did they have a place for a ceremony there/?
How is the decor is it approipate for a black tie Sat. night wedding?
I appreciate the help we libe an hour and a half away from WSCC, so we want to make sure it's right for us before we take he trip, thanks so much!
I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.....yes there are actually 2 fireplaces - very beautiful. And they usually have the reception outside however they will move it inside for the weather. You could absolutely have a black tie wedding there :)

Majestic Gardens was the best wedding I ever went to. It blew away any cocktail hour I have ever seen. The service was great. After we ate they even came around and asked if we'd like to try one of the other dinner choices or have seconds of the choice we had. The ceremony was in the gardens and was breathtakingly beautiful. Like something out of a movie. 2 Thumbs up!!!ps. Only One Wedding At A Time(like it should be, for all you pay)

We're having about 75 people. What bothers me about Carriage House is that it's one room, not a separate room for CH and reception. Any other places you can suggest would be appreciated!![]()

JMO- I wasn't that impressed with the Carriage House. I thought it was a little plain. And if the weather isn't good, the cocktail hour and reception are in the same room.
