Re: November 27th 04 Brides

I am the 26th and am also going with the holiday theme, mainly because the hall wil be decorated that way! Also, I love the holiday season so I am happy about it. For flowers we are doing red roses, stephanotis and red berries also. X-mas ornamets for favors too! I feel like there is so much left to do though!!

I think my invites are going out the 2nd week in September.

I think I am going to send mine on 9/13, my RSVP is 10/27.
For flowers I decided on doing off white roses w/ blue hydrangeas - however i still kinda have a autumn theme b/c my bm dresses are chocolate. so i figured the blue is holidayish and the chocolate is autumnish! best of both! this is so great talking to you girls!!

Oh my goodness!!! My dresses are chocolate too. We're trying to go with a fall theme. Chocolate cake too!
We actually had looked at Glen Island too but that date was booked....hmmmm... I guess you beat me to it!
I sent out my invites to out of town guests and I think I'll be sending out my family ones the first week of Sept.

Re: November 27th 04 Brides

Yay! SO many of us!!!

We are not really doing a theme. My girls are wearing pewter and we are having low white tulip centerpieces. We got the marble cheese plate as a favor.

We can't Wait for the HM!!!!

Re: November 27th 04 Brides

Hmmmm....I am just re-reading our 'official' thread here, and I am getting nervous that I am mailing my invites too late.

I sent Save the Dates already in February. I was planning on mailing my invites on 9/27 with a 10/27 RSVP.... Is this cutting it close? Please let me know what you think!

Thanks girls!

My favors are full sized bottles of Long Island Winter white wine from Pindar. The labels of this wine are really festive with a pine bough and pine cone.
What do you guys still have left to do?

I love that wine by Pindar! We almost did that as a favor too except that many people in my family and his dont drink...and our friends are not big wine drinkers (guess we could have kept them all ourselves LOL). On and I LOVE black magic roses! That's what Im having too.
Still left to do: wedding rings, start fittings, pick songs for church and reception, mail invites...most of the big stuff is done. How about you?

Maybe send them a week or 2 sooner...its a holiday wk end and hotels/flights book fast - that was my main concern.

Re: November 27th 04 Brides

I got my dress at Kleinfelds. I only got engaged in April so I ordered my dress mid April. They originally told me that the dress would be in 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding. That freaked me out a little but I was working with the owner and he said he would personally ensure that it would be OK! Well, needless to say, I got a call last week that my dress was in!!! I made an appointment for my first finning on October 2. I can't wait! They recommend about 4 - 6 weeks before the wedding. It only takes about a week for them to fix it up with taking it in and the bustle and stuff.
My girl's dresses are supposed to be in mid to end of September.

Re: November 27th 04 Brides

Hi Girls!

Thanks for the advice about my invites..I will take your advice & send them a little earlier. That is something I am definately NOT looking forward to. All the brides on here are always venting about how bad guests are with RSVP's.

I already had my 1st fitting & I have my second on Sept 21. The reason I went so early is because I am having speghetti straps put on and fabric covered buttons put down the back zipper.

I still have left:
Rings
Marriage license and passports for honeymoon
Mail invites
GET FG DRESS (I know I am Crazy that I dont have one yet)
Make song list for DJ
Do Finals w/ Banquet Manager
Shop for attendant gifts
Finish Pre-cana
Order Headpiece & Veil
Get hair trial done

PLUS---FH & I are under contract to buy a house & we may be closing in 30 days....

Talk about Stress!!!

I love that I have you guys to talk with!

Re: November 27th 04 Brides

Hi date mates!
I'm in an unusual situation in that I planned my wedding originally for September, so I picked everything with more of a summer theme in mind. I just recently changed the date to November so now I am trying to incorporate those decisions without it seeming weird. I chose amethyst BM dress and I planned on doing pink flowers with it. I think I will still go with that because I love that color combo. I am incorporating more dark pinks though as opposed to my original plan of pale pinks. So hopefully it will all still work.
I am sending out invites at the end of September, I think that is more than enough time. My response date will be November 1st. No particular reason for that, I just like the way that sounds.
My first fitting is in mid October, I didn't want to do it much sooner because I plan on losing weight! Fingers crossed. I still need to order my veil, but I have all my other accessories.
The big things on my to do list right now are:
BP Gifts
Favors (leaning towards wine)
Finally ordering the invitations! (Already designed just need to be printed).
Okay, that's all for now!
I can't wait for November!!

my hall does not decorate for the holidays b/c of all the different religions and what not so they do not have anything up. my favors though are for x-mas (ornaments w/ swarovzki crystals) so since the day kicks off x-mas we did that! Does anyone know what the temps. usually are outside this weekend?

hi ladies!!!
