My hall told me that we shouldn't come in to even pick out the menu or discuss the cake until three weeks before the wedding. That seems really close to me - what do you guys think?? Now I'm worried!

yes, we picked them out about a month ago. I have been trying to do stuff waaaay in advance to try and avoid last minute running around (even though it's impossible).

We went on Wednesday night actually, it wasn't bad.

3 weeks does seem kind of close for the menu, but some halls just do it differently.

I had my first fitting last night...it was really exciting. I wasnt 'in love' with my dress the 2 times I went to try it on before I ordered it. But now that its in my size and its my actual dress...I love it! Just have to lose about 10lbs so I can breathe better in it! L The veil is a little longer than I wold like but they will shorten it for me. I dont usually post pics on the boards...but I had to! (the train is detachable...)

Thank you!!!!!! I'm so excited to be a too!!! Yes, my veil has satin on the bottom, it's white (was available in white or silver). I need the hem taken up by about 4 inches but really not too much more done, which I'm thankful for! My 2nd fitting is 10/7 so hopefully I'll lose the 10 lbs. by then! I just want to give my self some room in the dress so I can eat, drink and be merry!!

ONLY 78 DAYS LEFT FOR US! Cant believe it!

2 months from today girls!!!

I can't wait!!

I think I still have a lot to do I think :

-buy Bm gifts (already know what it is)
-pick out and buy small gifts for parents
-fittings (1st one friday!)
-seating (I have more than 1/2 of my rsvps)
-buy RB pillow
-do final meetings with photo/video/band..(When do we do that?)

What do you have left? So I can figure out what I'm forgetting!

I can't believe we are down to 2 months from today! I am so excited

I am going for my first fitting on Saturday. I saw my wedding ring last Thursday and I LOVE IT!! We sent out the invites on Friday and started getting the responses back already . Some people dropped them off by my mom's house so they could chat with her at the same time. I am really just so excited at this point and I just know that these next 2 months are going to both fly by and drag on at the same time!

I know!!! 60 days!!! Where is the time going!?!? OH, and when do you start getting so stressed out that you lose weight?? I keep waiting for that to happen! ha ha

You and me both! Everyone keeps telling me that I look like I am losing weight but my pants are telling me a different story! In all reality though, I think the closer we are we are just going to be busier so we won't have time to eat. I know that when I get stressed out, I eat junk food. Hopefully this won't be the case!!

I hope I get stressed and lose some weight. I have no motivation to lose weight..if my wedding won't do it, I don't think anything will!

I just look at it this way...I'm wearing a ball gown..it hides my flaws

Me too! I get stressed out and I eat! I've been on Atkins and people say I look like I lost weight but the scale isnt moving! I guess no movement at all is better than moving UP!

Do you all have a lot left to do??

Good luck with Atkins. Based on what I have seen from your pics, you look great already! Just be healthy and you will be fine

I have a lot of little things to do but I guess they all add up:

- Tuxes (we are just rying to decide between 2 right now)
- Busses (we don't want to book for another week or 2 until most of the rooms are booked at our hotel)
- FH's ring (he just has to order it from our jeweler - he has an idea of what he wants)
- GM gifts (again, he has an idea and a list just haven't actually done it yet)
- in room baskets (again, waiting to see how many rooms we will need these for)
- programs (we are going to make our own so I will start on these in the next week or so)
- dress fitting - appt is on Saturday
- finals with the temple - we had an appointment but they had to change it. We just have to figure out when to go
- finals with the florist - again, just have to figure out when to go

It def adds up! All that little stuff takes so much time to do when you think about it! I printed all of our programs...and then realized I spelled FSILs last name wrong so I had to order more papaer and start all over...so I'll do that this week.

I still have to:
Pick them menu and cake with my hall
Meet with the organist at the church and pick songs
Give a play/do not play list to the DJ
My fittings (10/7)
get our marriage license
engrave wedding bands
finalize transportation for honeymoon
...oh and confirm any and all details with every vendor we hired LOL!

Want to pay my people if you are at it? I was kind of hoping they would all forget and just do my wedding out of the kindness of their hearts! I guess it doesn't really work out that way.
