I knew because he told me it was ready early. He took the day off to drive to south NJ to his brother's. He had it shipped there.

HAHA! He just couldn't hold onto it, could he? YAY, YAY, YAY! Your ring is gorgeous. Congratulations!

Tip: Try taking the pics at an angle. That rock is so big and shiny and the light is hitting the rock directly.

That's what's making the pics blurry. Trust me, my first pics came out the same way.

Nope, I figured he couldn't keep it. He said he was going to wait until Thanksgiving. No way he could have done that.

Great idea. I tried like 18 pics and none of them came out. FI said I reminded him of Golum (sp?) in Lord of the Rings - the precious (ring).

try taking a pic of it in a piece of tissue paper. LOL. for some reason, that worked better when we tried to take pics of it.....

Since I got engaged I tell people that a newdly engaged woman should not be allowed to operate a car for about 2 weeks in fear that she might be distracted by the rock on her finger!

CONGRATULATIONS! What a great story! I am soooo happy for you! You guys look so cute together!

How I got good pictures is you have to have your camera on Macro mode. It takes the best/non blurry up close pics of the ring. I also did it through a loop so it was magnified a bit!

That is so true. I am still at work and barely got the 5 things done that I had to do today (out tomorrow at a conference). I took a 2 hours lunch with all my friends at work to share the details. Thank God I had to make some calls to opposing counsel in CA or else I may not have gotten any work done today.

I was also trying to get my ring insured and was on the phone with Liberty Mutual, various Chubb reps and other insurers all day.

I may not be able to get anything done for a few days. It's such a high!!!

ETA - all the girls at lunch are married and they all said they need to have their rings cleaned.

FI did a great job. The pics do not even do the ring justice.

I'll try to take better ones tonight.
