Hi Girls, I don't want this thread to die, but I'm guilty of not posting lately either!

I'm 80 days out and still haven't gotten the limos or booked the honeymoon. Anyone else feel like they have a lot to do, but haven't?
I did finally get shoes though! I also finally decided to do a cardbox ( originally wasn't going to) after I saw a great beach one on here for sale. I showed the picture to my mother and she said she could make it, no problem! (My mother is extremely creative, me not so much!) Also, my shower is this Sunday! What is everyone else doing ( or not doing!)

I have most of my major vendors book. Limos is the last. I know i'm going with camelot just waiting to sign the contract. I wanted everything booked and out of the way by the end of this year. Will select a vendor to do our invites by the fall

I think I am going to check out Camelot. I've heard so many good things about them. I need to do it soon, I only have 2+ months! I don't know why I have procrastinated with this! I don't want any special type of car though, just a plain regular limo, so hopefully someone will be available!

I have been having panic attacks because I feel like we still have so much to do. We got the invitations done - I approved the proof on Saturday so hopefully this weekend, FH and I will FINALLY sit down to finalize the guest list so I can start to get ready to have the envelopes printed. I feel like we have so much left to do.

Next on the list is wedding bands. I'd like to get moving on that. Then I still need shoes, undergarments, my headpiece/veil, and DOJ. Oh and I still need to find someone to do my makeup.

We still need tuxes, favors, BP gifts. And my mom still hasn't started looking for a dress! She's killing me with that.

Plus, we really need to find a house because FH does NOT want to move into my apartment!

Hi girls: Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I'm heading full swing into wedding planning mode - less than 5 months to go and still so much to do!

Tomorrow I am going to see the second proof of our invitations (hopefully this one is correct) and then FH and I are going to see 5 houses before heading out to a friends birthday party. Trying to find time to buy a home, plan a wedding AND work a crazy job with lots of hours is beginning to stress me out!

FH is going to the US Open on Sunday so the plan is to go shopping with my mom for her dress (she hasn't even started looking yet)!

I know the next 5 months are going to fly by!

How is everyone else's planning going?

I am so far ahead is crazy. I have all my vendors booked except invites. My dress is hanging in my MOH closet, I have alot of my little items, (toasting flutes, RB ring,etc). We did Pre-cana already. I am ready to get married tomorrow if I could!
I seem to have a problem with last minute stuff. I would rather be done than run around like crazy at the end.

You're not doing too bad( in comparison to me anway!) We just did tuxes 3 weeks ago and my wedding rings 2 weeks ago. Fh still hasn't decided on his. Shoes I only got last week, Don't panic!

I keep telling myself that we're ahead of the game and that we still have lots done, but then I start making a list of what needs to be done and major stress sets in.

The invite glitch wasn't so bad. The first proof just had a couple of typo's - minor stuff, but I tend to be a perfectionist so even though the place tried to tell me I didn't need to see another proof, I insisted upon it and I'm glad I did otherwise I would have been worrying about that.

We booked our limo with Camelot. Joe gave us a great price (we checked out two other companies first). We just got the one Lincoln Navigator. I let FH pick the car, because it's one of those things I don't really care about.

Hopefully, this will be a productive weekend! We're going house hunting again on Saturday and I am trying to get FH to go wedding band shopping on Sunday.

Any recommendations on where to go for wedding bands?

The only thing I have done is contact some photographers via email..I hate the phone call thing. Plus we live in Queens so unless the prices is near our range it does not make sense to make an appt with them.

If it is a little above we would try to nego...I need more $$$

We got ours at Elsa on 110 in Farmingdale. They were reasonably priced...I think they are vendors here also. Because of the design of my e-ring (it has a twisted band) I had a wedding band created to fit the ring and l loved their design. It didn't cost any more than a regular band would cost bec. at Elsa there's no 'middle man,' like in a regular jewelry store.

Thanks for the tip. I've heard Elsa is good but that they demand to know on the spot if you're going to use them so I'm saving it for my last stop in shopping. Good to know they weren't any more expensive than a jewelry store - I was a little afraid of their pricing.

FH is working all weekend (12 hours each day) so we're not wedding band shopping this week. We are, however, thisclose to making a decision on a house. Fingers crossed please. It's now in the negotiating stage - we offered, they countered, we countered their counter, they countered again and FH and I are crunching the numbers to see if it'll work. Hopefully we'll have an answer by the end of the weekend either way. I love the house but have a very 'if it's meant to be' attitude.

That's the best attitude to have...I'm surprised that they keep countering though in this market...it's good to get any offer right now, definitely a buyer's market (my co-op is for sale and we've have had no offers yet-it's been two months on the market ) Saying ers for you!

Vanessa- where in queens are you? I am in Queens (Glendale) and we got our Photographer at Ariana Studios at the Wedding Plaza on jericho Turnpike. They were very reasonable

Celia..I now live in Lindenwood but I have lived in Woodhaven (right through the park) for most of my life.

Did you get a good deal with Adriana's? We are trying to get photo/video together and these are our definates:

1. Pic/Video of ceremony & all of reception
2. 1 album for us & 2 parent albums
3. Not sure if I want them for the getting ready
4. Edited video and uncut version
