I keep telling myself that we're ahead of the game and that we still have lots done, but then I start making a list of what needs to be done and major stress sets in.

The invite glitch wasn't so bad. The first proof just had a couple of typo's - minor stuff, but I tend to be a perfectionist so even though the place tried to tell me I didn't need to see another proof, I insisted upon it and I'm glad I did otherwise I would have been worrying about that.

We booked our limo with Camelot. Joe gave us a great price (we checked out two other companies first). We just got the one Lincoln Navigator. I let FH pick the car, because it's one of those things I don't really care about.

Hopefully, this will be a productive weekend! We're going house hunting again on Saturday and I am trying to get FH to go wedding band shopping on Sunday.

Any recommendations on where to go for wedding bands?

I got my bands at Helzberg Diamonds at Roosevelt Field. It was a total lark, we were actually looking for FH(who still hasn't picked one). I have a 3 stone engagement ring that has a high setting and was having a hard time finding something that looked right. We were going to go back to where FH had the ring made. But while I was in Helzberg, they showed me these beautiful contoured diamond bands that fit perfectly with mine!

The only thing I have done is contact some photographers via email..I hate the phone call thing. Plus we live in Queens so unless the prices is near our range it does not make sense to make an appt with them.

If it is a little above we would try to nego...I need more $$$

Vanessa- where in queens are you? I am in Queens (Glendale) and we got our Photographer at Ariana Studios at the Wedding Plaza on jericho Turnpike. They were very reasonable

Celia..I now live in Lindenwood but I have lived in Woodhaven (right through the park) for most of my life.

Did you get a good deal with Adriana's? We are trying to get photo/video together and these are our definates:

1. Pic/Video of ceremony & all of reception
2. 1 album for us & 2 parent albums
3. Not sure if I want them for the getting ready
4. Edited video and uncut version

They will work with you with whatever you want. I got the package at the wedding plaza which incl video/photo- I am getting everything that you want plus. Check out the website- I think they are a venor on here

Hi Ladies! My shower was yesterday and it was beautiful! My mother did a phenomenal job. It was a tea party done by Lady Anne's Vintage Tea Room, which is closed ( very long story short...she lossed her lease after my mother had booked, Lady Anne ended up doing it in a place 2 doors down from where her location was, she honored what she and my mother had agreed upon, and she did a fantastic job! Good news is she will have a new location). I recieved so many wonderful gifts. I will post pics..right now my computer is not cooperating!

Okay..my hunt now is for a place to be married..we don't want to get married at the hall because we want to be at CH and we would have to take pics at that time if we got married there. Does anyone know what the donation for churchs are?

Also, does anyone know of a church that will marry interfaith...I am lutheran and FH is catholic but he is divorced so we can't get married in Catholic church.

Definitely try unitarian. Also I know CW Post has a chapel. I don't know what the 'donations' are for those though.

I don't go to church often (hardly ever) so I don't have a regular church..I guess I should go to one. How much is the donation at most churchs?

My church- which is Catholic- is $500 which includes the organist. I have heard all different amts up to 1200.00
