Definitely try to get the passport out ASAP. FH needs his and it drives me nuts that he's taking so long because it takes like 6-8 weeks and now that passports are needed to go to the Caribbean, I think lots of people may be applying right now.

I know! And Fh doesnt have a drivers lisc so we NEED the passport to get the marriage lisc!
I am gunna be such a nag!

Oh wow! That passport is very necessary then! can't he use a birth certificate or lerner's permit if it's from NY? I just looked on the marriage bureau website yesterday since we'll be getting ours in early March! I can't believe it!

OK we have made some progress:
FH now has his ring, it needs to be sized though. I met with the florist, revised the package and paid that off! I sent out the check for our final hall payment on Friday (hopefully we won't have more guests than our minimum). We're going to 12th Night to pay our 2nd photo deposit on Monday, so they'll be paid off until we pick up the pics. We're also going to get FH's passport application in and pick out the tuxes on Monday. So only thing left (major) is to get my ring, pay the videographer 2nd deposit and meet with the pastor and go over the ceremony. I just bought the last of my accessories yesterday (hair brooch and earrings)!!!!!!

Question for you Adana~
Are you having both fathers wear the same tux? We are looking at tuxes Thurs and need an idea of how that works!

Today my students had a coverage period 8 and they came to my classroom and put together my invitations~~ stuffed the envelopes and stamped those buggers. They actually loved doing it and made fun of me saying, 'Ms. B...there's NOOOO way you could have done this on your own...Where's our invites???'
Of course, I'm going to double check everything b4 I seal them and send them out!

Weds we are looking for wedding rings. I think we are going to check out Queens Center Mall becuse they have like 5 jelwery stores there and FH is PICKY, PICKY, PICKY!!!! He's leaning towards something in Tungsten.

Yes both fathers are wearing black tuxes, with black vests and ties (white shirts), then the groomsmen are wearing black tuxes with lilac vests and ties, fh and our ringbearer are wearing black tuxes with platinum vests and ties. LOL how cute that your kids stuffed your envelopes!

We hvae yet to look at Tuxes.. maybe this week, who knows, FH is sick, so I am sure we have to put it off another week.. the invites are coming in within the next week or so and then they go out the end Feb beginning of March.. and just paying everyone off.. I am a bundle of nerves.. no not really, I am just stressing myself out for no reason that I lost 7lbs in the last month without even trying.. so I guess the stress isn't that bad!!!

so far this week/end ive....
had one of my showers, gotten my veil, mailed my invites, planned the joint bach/ette party, last of the guys got mesured for tuxes bought extra shoes , now its really feeling real!

this cmoing weekend hair/make up trial... weekend after 2nd fitting! weekend after that LI shower
uggg then maybe a week or two of nothing!!!

That's it really. I booked the spa for the friday before and booked the restaurant for the rehearsal. All those invitations are printed, stamped, and ready to go.

Here are my invitations. Unfortunately, FH's vacation was canceled so we're going to try and squeeze things in whenever he can get out of work at a reasonable time. My band is in but he still needs to purchase one. I'm sending the first batch of invitations tomorrow, hopefully meeting with the RH soon to set the final menu, harassing my bridal store for my dress, and getting my veil on Wed.! And hopefully we're choosing tuxes...So much to do, where did time go???

Not mad...JEALOUS I have to stop the procrastination!

Everyones invites are beautiful. Its cool to see how eventhough we are all getting married in April there are such individual styles and personal touches!
My invites are DIY everything. I dont have a pic of the response cards but what I love about them is that instead of having the M___________________ for the person to respond, each response card has the invited person's/couple's name printed directly on it~ so its very personal and pretty much eliminates the option of someone 'adding on' a name.
