So I finally booked our HM!!!!!!!!!! I really wanted to go to Aruba but the only resort I wanted is sold out and the flights are all crappy so we're going to the Dominican Republic! The resort we're going to has great reviews on trip advisor so I can't wait! I already started packing! lol I've had so much anxiety about not having booked anything yet so now I'm so happy that it's done!

Hopefully on Monday we can go get our marriage license and possibly go to the hall for our final appointment. We still have some other things to do like go to the church for that appointment too.

Nina I was so happy! I'm still happy. I really wanted to book it for months now. I'm usually the type to book stuff far in advance just to get the best choice of flights etc. It all worked out though!

just booked final appts with photographer, met with church for music, had final meeting with dj, confirmed hair/make up for day of- start time 9:30!?!? eep- FG dresses finally done & ready to be picked up, almost all BM done with fittings, seating chart done- now it's on to printing the place cards & menus... It is SERIOUSLY booking...

I don't even know what to do with myself anymore..LOL

More stuff to cross off the list!!! We now have our marriage license and paid our second deposit to the photographer! I also scheduled our final meeting with the hall to finalize our details! We just need to meet with the church, pay the church and videographer's second deposit, have fh's ring sized and get the minor alterations to my dress! I'm glad to have made progress!

RSVP's are a pain!!! I just had my first person say they cant come after the sent their card in month ago.

Good excuse though he broke his ankle and it's one of FH's uncle's so he is older and it will be a little hard for him to get around. Just glad I did not give the hall my final count and check yet.

I am hoping nobody else calls and says they cant come!

We are waiting to hear from over 100 people and our rsvp date is the end of this week.

I doubt we will get that many in one week, so now we will need to follow up with lots of people!

i finished my programs this weekend
did seating (took 20 min!!) haha phew!
final fitting is sunday *if no more alt are needed
wrapped BM gifts
finalized stuff with all my vendors...
hmm did tons of stuff! printed out epic for our placecard table...

now im really just waiting...

We are finishing up our DIY Placecards and Menus this week. Once that is over we just have to pay a few more vendors and the waiting begins!

It's past our RSVP deadline and there's still at least 20 people who I have no answer for! I've been emailing and calling the people I know, even sending messages through myspace so hopefully that can be decided this week.

We had our final meeting with out hall and the church. We may have to research trying to get another harpist and taking pics at Queens Botanical Gardens since none of the church flowers are blooming but they are planting new ones for Easter so we'll go back and see what it's like a few weeks before the wedding.

Tomorrow I'm sending the second deposit to the videographer along with pics and our song list.

FH is supposed to contact the DJ to go over everything today. He also needs to figure out when he and the guys will go get fitted and we still need to get his ring sized and I have to get my dress alterations done, I also have to do the programs and place cards.

15 days and counting!!!

I started the church programs last night and they are about half way done! Did the Menu's last week. Closed on our Co-op on Tuesday so now this weekend we are painting and buying furniture. I still have to do the placecards and have a few more vendor meetings!!!

Cant wait I cant believe it's so close. In 17 days I will be in St. Lucia on a well deseved honeymoon.

Less than a month left!

My RSVP due date is April 1st and I still have over 100 people outsanding....
I should have looked at the calendar and made March 31st the RSVP, as that's a day when mail comes and also sounds so much sooner than the next month...
but I have no shame and am going to email a 'gentle reminder' to all those who haven't responded on Sunday... then our parents have to call their lists next week...

Nina I did the same thing. I emailed, sent myspace messages etc to those whose emails I didn't have. A few people still haven't gotten back to me. FSIL called the relatives that hadn't responded. It's so crazy that you have to go through all this to find out if people are coming.

Did you start after the RSVP date?

I am waiting until April 1st (because I was told it was rude to do it before hand, but I wouldn't think twice about reminding people that the date is coming up!)

No I started a few days before (say the wednesday and the RSVP was Friday). I don't think it's rude if it's a few days before because chances are they weren't going to send it out on that date if they hadn't already.
