Re: Official Atlantica Thread

I am seriously considering Atlantica. I spoke to Kristie and she was very sweet but my catering a manager would be Lisa. She seems easygoing too - has anyone worked with her?

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

We had our tasting 2 weeks ago and it was so much fun. You girls will love it. We had leftovers for days and were so stuffed. The appetizers were such a difficult decision.

Kristy is so helpful and so nice.

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

I am doing Viennese but am skipping the chocolate fountain. I did want to have dessert but I don't want to the party/band to stop for it. Everyone will get in sleep mode very quickly!

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

So, I booked Atlantica - so excited! Now I am dealing with hotels. I am doing the Best Western in Riverhead because it's a less expensive option, but am not sure what to go with in westhampton area. I may block either the Inn at Quogue or the Dune Deck hotel. Neither have transportation for guests though. Any feedback on what others are doing would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

I researched this a lot and did not find too many great options. We ended up booking some rooms on-site (WH Bath & Tennis), a few at the Best Western but most at the new Holiday Inn in Riverhead. It is close to the Best Western but nicer and newer. You might want to take a look. One other thing...the Westhampton Bath and Tennis does not block rooms. your guests will have to call very early if they want to stay here. Hope that helps.

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

Thank you, that does help. Did you provide transportation? The Best Western has a shuttle but they only provide for half the people so we would have to pay for the other half. I know it's not a requirement to provide transportation for guests anyway, but I want to look into it since it would make it easy for everyone. Also, do you know the rates for the holiday inn? I have a quote for $189 for the best western.

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

I also blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn Express and my quote was cheaper than $189. I would definitely go there. It's newer and nicer IMO.
I don't live in the Hamptons so I am going to provide transportation for my guests along with the one shuttle that the hotel provides.
FM if you need more info.

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

My quote for the Holiday Inn on a Sat in Sept was $189 also. I would contact them asap if you are interested as they block fast. They have the same shuttle policy as the Best Western I believe. They will provide a 14 passenger van. We got transportation in addition for our guests (North Fork Trolley). Hope that helps but feel free to let me know if I can help with anything else.

Re: Official Atlantica Thread

Hi Atlantica Brides...Just wondering what everyone is doing for reception music. I am undecided between a band or a dj. Does anyone know of any good band/dj combos?
