Congrats all new DUET brides... Someone had asked about my Casual shoot... Keep in mind we did NOT spend the entire day with them only a few hours!

I just went thru a bunch of old posts and think I have completely updated the thread. Please FM me if I missed anything or anyone.

I've been banned from the computer for 2 weeks because of a virus scare (nothing came out of it, FH just had to check before I could use it again).

My fiancee met with them first with Jessnyc711 and then I went with her on Thursday. Was to busy or we would have booked FRIDAY.
We just booked today and Nicole just kept thanking my fiancee when she called to say we wanted to book with them . We are probably going for the diamond plus package. At that range the difference is small but what you get is excellent. We have a meeting with the photographers on Mon.

Myasmom asked for some VIDEO details

I have the 2003 prices but you may want to contact her directly and DEFINITELY MEET WITH THEM AND WORK YOUR MAGIC.

Here is what I have :

These are the video details for the packages so call and/or meet with them to discuss further prices and specific items. What I loved was that they were updated and prepared for new things coming out. Alot of places said in 5 months or so they would have a DVD burner, they might have more things ' in - house ' , etc. I just don't want photo and video vendors haggling over prices and what they promised each other and me.

My fiancee bought me the Canon G5 for my bday and xmas. We are both into and have experience in alot of the most current technology so we understood alot of the terms BUT ALWAYS ask if you don't understand . Sometimes an example being shown more than once helps.

Ask about Promotions

Get specific descriptions and don't stop till you fully understand what each option includes or doesn't include.

Meeting them is one sure way to know what each feature looks like as far as effects go in the video, AND photo.

I loved the infrared pics and casual day pics.

We are going with the Diamond Plus for now, but for Video and Photo.

Please notify me and everyone else it things changes, as I will certainly do the same.

Not sure if you found out how many proofs you get but it's according to the package I think. I'm meeting with them tonight. I'll let you know what happen.

Eric and Nicole were great and I met with one of the videographers. You can really ask them for alot. FLEXIBILITY IS THEIR MOTTO. I will give everyone more details soon I just got home.

Hating Duet and Littlecat

How do you think a good solid business stays that way? I'm getting married at Flowerfield and they don't advertise also. Word of mouth is alot more than some flashy commercial or flyer. I think it says alot about a business and the people who work there. Who are you going with and how did you find out about them? Why bring something so petty to here? Even if it is or isn't true that had no bearing on what eventual should be your own decision and that of your fiancee. Some things you just know feel right. I have seen their work personally and so what if I saw Littlecat's pic there and other couples. What do you have to show if not the results of your hard labor and time.

Best wishes to everyone and for some Duet may not represent what they want for their wedding, and that's fine. THAT DOESN'T GIVE SOMEONE THE RIGHT TO BASH SOMEONE PERSONALLY. THAT WAS YOUR CHOICE NOT TO GO WITH DUET. AS IT IS MINE TO GO WITH THEM.

i see that they took out her comment here about littlecat...i wish they would do it in the thread she started...

i didn't post on that thread coz i don't want to give her the satisfaction...

littlecat did answer and she even said nicole was also upset about the whole thing...i think they are both going to contact liweddings about this malicious person...

i agree with everyone who already said this...the many posts here about duet is what made me go to duet...their work is what made me book them...no one twisted my arm to book them and i certainly feel like i got a good deal with them (commission or not)

OFFICIAL DUET PHOTOGRAPHY THREAD

We just went today to change some details on our contract. They were so warm and easy going, as when I first met with them. We did talk about the unfortunate incident that happen last week and I was assured it wasn't true and I explained to them that wasn't the sole reason why we went there. After all it is our decision when it comes down to it and our names on the contract. Feel free to make your own opinion and visit with them with an open mind.

Another couple was there at 12 pm. and I thought I heard them mention LIW and the Brides helping Brides forum. I hope all went well and you found them as flexible as we did.

There was a couple who came in at about 1 pm also but I don't know if they go here.

They are Korean and their english is fine. Eric's isn't perfect but he understood us without pause. Nicole and the rest of the people who work there that I met were either raised here or born here and you won't notice anything because there is nothing to worry about. They are very flexible there so don't be afraid to ask about any concerns you have.
