Okay so I had more cake pics to post. But its not working right now and I don't feel like resizing.

We booked our honeymoon last night!!! woo hoo We're going to Royal Hideaway in Playacar Mexico! So excited!! Our travel agent's name is tom~ He was great! If anyone needs a TA his email is [email protected] he works for American Express. I believe he booked Soon2BMrsA's honeymoon and a few others on this site as well.

Hi girls,

Just wondering, has anyone been to the cotillion in long island?

we;re scrambling to find a place for our garba (the dance before the night of the wedding) and the cotillion is one of the few places that are still open but i heard it wasnt that nice of a place... help!!!!

no offense to anyone i HATE the cotillion, its far, shabby looking, and their soda is always flat and warm ...


cant you try Antun's of Hicksville or Akbar in Garden City or the Sterling in Bethpage

all of them cater indian cusine....and are flexible in pricing

hey, thanks for responding!

yea we pretty much ruled the cotillion out... we checked out antun's but FMIL thought the room was too long, and for a garba we'd prefer a 'squarer' room...and i guess i sorta agree with her, esp since we'll have 250 people at the garba, the room looked as thought it would only fit about 150 or so....
we had our eng party at akbar and i prefered not to repeat a venue, but they were also booked the day we needed the room

we went to see the sterling and we wanted to bring in our own caterers (akbar, since they have better food) so they gave us a price last night and now theyre lying to us and telling us that someone put a deposit down for that day,, what a freaking lie!!!! they never mentioned any one was interested in our day last night!!! omg im so pissed...

FH and i want to just ditch all these indian restaurants and rent something really cool like the foundry..... AAGHHHH!!! sorry had to vent..

i heard the cotillion was bad too, i dont any , good luck in searching !!!!! i was going to sat sterling also but yet again not sure of the space there, that cruel of them to tell you someone put down a depoist, the nerve of them, a s s @&##&*^, good luck in the search

things turned around though, the sterling called us back and said its still available so we booked, they were still playing games with us... anyhow, LARGE burden off my back!!!

hey girls.. i had to tell you guys i started the designing process of my wedding gown. the first sample comes in april. its going to be like an american gown but kinda indian. white with clear swarofski crystals all over it. IM SO EXCITED! one thing to take off my list!
