Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Hey Girls,

I'm a newbie, and am not sure if I'm even posting to the correct thread ( I hope so), but I wanted to get some feedback on photographers. I'm Hindu and am having my ceremony on Friday evening, and reception on Saturday. I researched photographer/videographer packages for about 5 hours on Friday, and 10 hour coverage on Saturday. I got quotes that were nearly $7K. Does/did anyone else have this dilemma, and fell into the same price range, or is it just me? Please help!!

hey melada~ welcome! 7K seems a bit expensive but i think its because you are using them for two days. Definitely shop around so you can get a better deal...who have you gone to see so far?

anyone have suggestions on songs for the first dance and also for the father daughter dance?

i was thinking an english song for the first dance, and indian song for the father daughter....what do you guys think?

hey nitu that's my fsil's name! anyways, i'm pretty sure my fh and I are using ' Thank God I Found You' by Mariah Carey for our first dance because it's sentimental to us~ one of 'our songs' from when we were dating...i have no clue about the father daughter dance though! I think using a hindi song is such a cute idea though

For english songs, try doing a search(you'll see it at the top of the liw screen) for 'first dance song' or something like that...i'm sure you'll find a lot of options

hi sm2007 I'd recommend Duval also because i know 2 people who used them and were very happy. However, if you liked Leli's better then you should do a ton of research before you book and try to find some real ppl who have used them so you can get their opinions. Also, you can always create a 'must take' photo list for them so that they don't miss any of the important moments
