JMO- I look at the stamps. I always look to see if people put special stamps on special mail.

I'm a 'details' person and would notice the stamp(s). If you're gonna go with 2, use the same person/subject.

I notice the stamps as well - i even use special ones for my thanks yous from my e-party! But I also don't hate the love stamps, so life is easy for me. I'd go to the post office and see if they have one stamp that you like - the two together might be awkward looking.

How much is the postage?

Do you know anyone that has a postage meter, maybe you can do them that way, am not sure if that is tacky though.

I wans't fond of the love stamps, but i did them anyway, and i thought they looked nice.

dont worry about the stamps....Only us anul brides even think to look at that. When I sent out my invites, we HAD to use 2 stamps because the new higher rate Love stamp was not avaliable..and you knwo what???? not ONE person commented on the 2 stamps!!!

A stamp is a stamp is a stamp!!!

there are other more important things to think about!!

2 stamps is tacky, sorry, it looks like you were trying to maneuver to save on postage. Try one of the 60 cent or 55 cent stamps instead. I used the 60 cent stamp of a prairie or a park or something like that.

For the out of towners invite (I will need more postage for because of all the additional info) I am putting Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn on the big envelope and then I have the Audrey one for the response envelope because I HATE the love stamp. The women at the post office thought I was nuts making such a big deal out of it.

Oh and for the NOT out-of-towners I am using the eagle stamp because i thought it was better than the love one plus it has a goldish/tan background and my whole color shceme is gold and champagne.

I used the Eagle on my invites...like Oct1203, it went w/my color scheme.

For the response cards I used the Old Glory stamps. I actually had someone write on the response card 'Cool stamp!'

Call me crazy...but I don't think the LOVE stamp is that bad. It's not my favorite, but the sentiment is still there! I'd use the LOVE stamp, but whatever you do, it will be fine!

i totally hated the love stamp too and didn't want it at all but then i just bought them anyway and it actually grew on me! it really doesn't look that bad!

The important thing is that the invite gets to where it needs to be.

Esthetically, I think one stamp looks better then two but I don't think it's tacky to use two.

IMO, I just think the LOVE stamp is so much more appropriate than the other 2. They also have stamps of all the fifty states on them which seem appropriate too for an invitation. I kinda like the whole theme thing.

To be quite honest..I have never even noticed what stamps people use when sending invitations..I just wouldnt even care..use what you like..

I didn't like the love stamp either, and we used the regular flag stamp for the response envelopes. For the outer, we wound up using the love stamp even though I wasn't crazy about it, and like someone else said, it grows on you. I wound up liking it.

That said, I wouldn't think it was tacky if someone put two stamps on the invite. There are so many details to work on for a wedding, I don't think you should stress so much over stamps. If you want two stamps, then by golly, use two stamps!
