Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
Waterview, or expansive grounds, one wedding at a time...... I feel like I've been everywhere too... Even venues that are out of our budget b/c I would consider changing the date if I fell in love with a place and we couldn't afford it.
My poor FH.... He's such a doll. He's been everywhere with me.

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
All I know is that I got CLM for $80 on a Friday night in Oct. I'm not sure of the other nights and I saw that someone already posted the $$ for the peak-season.

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
I know I wanted to look at CLM too!
Sometimes I don't know if this place is a burden (kidding of course), my poor FH - I keep telling him 'my date triplets are going to get everything I want, let's HURRY'. He's like 'it's two years away!'. Men just don't understand!!
Sat Evening, and 175 - 200 pp. I really don't want to spend more than $150 pp.... If I fall in love with a place - I will change my date but not day... I can't wait for this weekend!!!! I hope I book something. I just started school again and I wanted to book before classes started! I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it.
I'm so dramatic. Geez!

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
I hear ya!Where are you looking this weekend? Lands End..., where else?
i would say check out the Old Field CLub (our venue), but they hold max of about 150 ppl. ...And you'd have to change your date, since they only do 1 wedding at a time.
Have you considered Montauk? I know its far, but it could be a fun idea for your guests. They could make a weekend out of it!

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
I don't have quotes for your time of year BUT I did visit North Ritz Club for a Sat. evening in May and it was $145/pp. It is very beautiful there but just not for me! Riviera (also for a Sat. evenint in May) quoted me $100/pp. It's very nice there but they don't recommend having any more than 200 people there. And honestly I think even trying to squeeze 200 people in there is too much. Woodbury country club quoted me $120 (Sat. evening in May). I think they are overpriced for what they offer honestly, too many parties going on at one time.

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
OK, so apparently I don't know what the heck a budget is!!! Or if I do, I ignore it like I ignore my redheaded stepchild.Soooooooooo, FH and I looked at 4 places this weekend. Hahahahahaha. What a joke. I'll put them in order from least expensive to most...
(All for a sat night in June)
The Woodlands - $170 pp, 150 min
Lands End - $175 pp, 175 min
Carlyle on the Green - $195 pp, 200 person min
AND..........drumroll please.............
Carltun in the Park - $235 pp, 175 min!!!!
Note to self: Self, if you get invited to a wedding at Carltun, do not go. You wouldn't be able to give a nice enough gift.

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 08
YAY!
I'm glad! Good luck this weekend.
Do you know who you're meeting with? I met with Sari twice. We were supposed to sign our contract last weekend, but cancelled because we found the OFC! So she probably isn't a big fan of me!
But, hey, she might wind up booking that date anyway!!!!
They have a bridal exhibit on Sept. 14th so you can try their food. Definitely sign up for it.
